He's not listed anymore on Path of Redemption.

Let's play a little guessing game - Which film do you think will be filmed next?

I don't know, but I am positively sure he is going to do a movie in Russia soon. Steven is back in Russia talking with Bob Van Ronkel. I responded to Van Ronkel: I hope you 2 are about to make a good movie and he liked the post. Something is going on there. Could be Cypher, could be another project.

Maybe you could ask him -if possible- if he can give some hints about the movie? :)

I can try, but I don't want to "stalk" him all the time..It seems he doens't want to say something about it....

Yes, you're right. I think we probably should wait some weeks/months before asking him again.

Can please someone tell me what's going on? Why so much movies?

I mean we officially have 2005 back - but with lower budgets.

Well DiDa, posted a new interview in which Seagal says he had a period with no work, but has over 15 offers for projects at this time.
Surprisingly he mentions some are for things he wrote....so he forget to offer them himself before????

So he seems to be back in business and even says that the beef with Warner has been resolved so the way is clear to make US3 which he really wants to make..

Peace

But since about 2009 he only made 1, at most 2 movies per year (if you exclude the TV series).

Why this change now?

Quantity is not everything...we know this from the past.

True, but the bills have to get payed I guess. And perhaps he believes that more projects means he is getting back in the game for bigger projects with bigger budgets and more money for him.

Not all of these potential projects will likely get made, at least not all with Seagal - However, it's nice to see that he has numerous things to pick from. As a fan, I'd rather he be busy than idle.

It's seems to be a pretty interesting year for both Waxman-fans and those who asked for more variety.

He maybe should have tried that before (filming with Waxman but also trying different studios in between), the last 5 years really were boring in this regard.

On the other side, quantity is not everything, as I wrote before. And some of them could be bad.

But there is still a chance some of this projects could turn out decent or good - and that's why I like some variety. And it's more interesting for us to discuss here. :)

Not sure about this one....He looks a very good director but a Seagal film without fight scenes is not something im interested in watching

To me he tried that with the Patriot and it more or less ended his hollywood career

I agree with you both. A different character maybe could be interesting, but there should be enough action and fights.

Why doesn't he try to film Under Siege 3 in Russia? I thought he has written a story for it that's placed in Russia.
