Should Seagal return with Julius Nasso?

Still say No..

Quite a narrow minded view you have there ORANGATUANG. Just saying 'no' without any explanation doesn't really add anything to the argument now does it?

I stand by my original argument that Seagal should return with Julius Nasso. His rise has continued as he is now attached to produce a film version of the Swiss folk hero William Tell for a 2012 release. The film, entitled William Tell: 3D will star Brendan Fraser and have a $27m budget and it is a real shame that Seagal isn't involved in a production like this, especially considering his recent return to cinemas in Machete (2010).

I also believe that my other point in this thread still stands. Seagal's refusal to be involved in The Expendables (2010) and The Expendables 2 (2012) because they are produced by Nu Image and Avi Lerner, who Seagal has bad blood with, is just not good business sense. They are simply not the company they used to be and have firmly moved into more mainstream cinema releases and away from low budget action films. Since 2006 they have produced Street Kings (2008) starring Keanu Reeves, Righteous Kill (also 2008) starring Al Pacino and Robert De Niro, the remake of The Mechanic (2011) starring Jason Statham and Drive Angry (also 2011) starring Nicholas Cage. Upcoming titles include Medallion (2012) again starring Nicholas Cage, Trespass (2011) directed by Joel Schumacher, Lay the Favorite and Fire with Fire (both 2012)starring Bruce Willis, Freelancers (also 2012) starring Robert De Niro, The Frozen Ground (2014)starring Nicholas Cage and John Cusack and Broken City (also 2014) starring Russell Crowe and Mark Wahlberg. Machete proved last year that Seagal can still cut it in a cinema release. With budgets and co-stars like these films have, who knows where the final phase of Seagal's career could lead?

Marky96. Orangatuang is saying no like *Im* saying no. Nobody would go back and work with somebody who threaten their life. Why would he resume contact with such a person, just to get a well-produced film ?? Bollocks. If you had an argument you burry the hatchet, if you had a verbal fight you burry the hatchet, but stuff like what Nasso did to Seagal can never be forgiven. He wont forgive Avi Lerner (who didnt pay him on time), and so you think he will forgive Nasso (who threaten his life) ?? Keep dreaming.

If Seagal should work with somebody elese again, he should work with Robert Rodrigez (Machete).

I understand the point you're making however business is business and I still feel that returning with Julius Nasso would make good business sense.

As for Avi Lerner I think the reason he didn't pay Seagal on time was because Seagal had disrupted the filming of both Today You Die (2005) and Mercenary for Justice (2006) by routinely turning up late on set, performing unauthorized rewrites on the script and allowing members of his entourage, including Joe Halpin to interfere with the films production. Seems like a fairly good reason to withhold someones wages to me?

I agree with you that Seagal should work with Robert Rodriguez for a second time. As I have said before there are a number of directors who Seagal should consider working with again.

Yes, Seagal should return with Nasso if is he is released. It is time for Seagal to step up his game again with great movies, and not the garbage he is making today.

I couldn't agree more. I've said for a while now that returning with Nasso could be a way for Seagal to finally end this DTV rut he's in and make at least one more decent action film. After all he's really not getting any younger and there aren't many chances for him left to live up to his once great potential.

Regardless of how Nasso is now, I can't say I would ever reccomend he team up with him again. They had their issues, not to mention the guy is a convicted felon, someone who stained his name in the industry isn't exactly going to be getting projects thrown at him. I don't think teaming up with him would help Seagal's rep either

Seagal and Nasso have both stained their names in the industry one way or another. They are also both running out of options to salvage their careers. Perhaps teaming up again will be a positive way forward for them both.
