This one came out of the woodworks just now. Director Fred Olen Ray has been posting pictures to Facebook from a new action/war movie he's been filming in Los Angeles with Rob Van Dam, and just now he posted a new picture and called it a "Steven Seagal movie" so it seems that Seagal will be in it as well. This is the reason he just flew to LA it seems.

A few pictures:

One more day on this Steven Seagal movie and we'll get our first day off... boy do I need it!

Oh boy......that doesn't look very promissing....

But the set pics from the 'Seagal'-movie don't look too bad and it's an US shot movie, so that's a plus compared to his Eastern European works.

Peace

Here a trailer of one of Olen Rays latest movies:

Didn't know Fred Olen Ray was still making movies?
He's made some right stinkers (but at very least he's seasoned enough not to be in awe of Seagal) which might push the Sensei into something resembling a performance (however limited his role is)

Think this must be sort of an extended cameo. he should be shooting Perfect Weaopn this week according to Titus Paar.

Facebook conversation:

Tim Abel: I enjoyed Filming that ending with Seagal. He was starting to get a little playful with the dialogue.
Fred Olen: It was fun!

They already filmed the ending and had a day off right after? It's starting to sound like Seagal only worked for a day on this one.

They're back to filming now and no mention of Seagal.

One lousy day off and now it's back to the hell that is war... with Rob Van Dam...

Fred Olen Ray answers to the question how was Seagal to work with:

I really enjoyed the experience... he was right in his element and we had a tremendous $25K custom made sniper rifle... 338... just great.

So sounds like he already wrapped. So it was a day's work?

Fred Olen Ray posted this on Facebook:

As we're just now finishing up Post production on SNIPER: SPECIAL FORCES with Steven Seagal... this is too good to pass up!

So it seems it's now titled Sniper: Special Forces. I wonder if it's connected to the Sniper series with Tom Berenger or if they just titled it that to make it more marketable?

Thanks!

The movie will not be related to the Sniper series. A 6th part of the Sniper franchise called Sniper: Killshot is also in post-production now and is starring Dennis Haysbert,
