Beats me why it's called 'Sniper'
This is not a Seagal movie it's not even a Van Dam(yep another wrestler) movie.... Seagal only makes a cameo appearance in th e beginning and the end....even takes off his sun glasses in the final scene. No fight scenes at all, however Seagal does shoot a gun in a few scenes, but is too slow to get to the 'evac' truck and gets left behind until the end of the film.
He does actually walk in a few scenes. Maybe a half day shoot for him. All Seagal scenes were edited in post filming. Ridiculas movie about the dumbest special ops group in the history of the military. Be forwarned :) Half of the movie(it's short only 1 hour and 20mts.) is spent watching these idiots try and salvage a supply truck with a stow away photographer. Yep these special op guys didn't even know she was in the truck. Filmed at the Blue Cloud movie ranch:

I didn't expect something else. We know Seagal shot his scenes in 1 day. I am going into this one, knowing that it's not a Seagal movie. My eyes are on Code Of Honor and the good looking Killing Salazar (althought this also isn't a full Seagal movie).

I just saw this one, and yes, Seagal's not in it much. In fact most of his scenes are in the trailer. He shoots his gun in a couple of scenes but for the most part he sits at a table doing nothing.

On the bright side the angles he's being filmed are somewhat new, even shots taken from the ground and none of the usual "camera on the ceiling to hide his double chin" crap.
He's doubled, but not in a noticeable way. But then again he has no fight scenes either, unless I missed it.

Allthough he is pretty much covered for the entire time, he wars a hat, glasses, the big goatee and what seems like 17 layers of clothing and military gear on him. He takes his glasses off for 5 seconds.

No dubbing, but Seagal does not even try. This is a paycheck role through and through. Mumbling through his lines. He looks miserable.

As a movie it's not bad per se, but don't expect an action movie, because there's not much action here at all.

Director Fred Olen Ray does his best with limited resources. It's a very low budget movie filmed on one location in like two weeks I believe.

The cinematography is nice looking. Score and sound editing is adequate.

Wait for it to hit Netflix would be my suggestion.

no, no fight scenes, you didn't miss anything :)
actually I thought it was being set up where Seagal and the wounded guy being left behind, I thought Seagal would go around the town taking out the guys silently to get food, water and medical supplies to keep the wounded guy alive.
surprised to even see Seagal as executive producer and the Steamroller logo.
I mean the guy shows up for a cameo appearance in his own film, doesn't even have to do a wardrobe change and pretty much just sits around.

also it's only in DVD resolution, no bluray release

You've seen it?

No, I haven't seen it, but you can tell if you read the interviews with Daniel Zirilli. He talks full of passion about his movies and wants to make the best of it. And I like the trailer for Asian Connection a lot more then Sniper Special Ops.

This review is about as accurate as it can get....only thing missing is that hey don't mention that half the movie(all in in-between time) is on salvaging a broken down supply truck. Heck I thought bearded guy was Van Dam...it was Tim Abell.
LOL...The 2 supposedly lead men on the cover aren't even given lead roles...both aree just supporting actors in their own movie.
