"Thanks God he is not listening true fans like you !!" .............I have no idea what you are trying to say here. "So be careful...." or what? What do I need to be careful of? And don't read my posts - I don't think anyone can read yours!!

Anyways, I had the pleasure of meeting Steven at a convention in Minnesota. He was a nice guy to me - but very few people seem to actually like the guy. I really hope his talentless foray into music doesn't make more people hate him. :(

Why Suzi? That's his opinion, that's all.

I haven't heard the album, and until now haven't heard anything bad about it.

KungFu-FAN, it's not like Steven Seagal goes around proclaiming that he is the best musician ... people have different tastes. Steven Seagal has his own music style I'm guessing, so if you don't like it, you can listen to some other blues. I might not like some artist's music, so I don't listen to them, but to say that Steven Seagal shouldn't continue with music is just outrageous! And why would you 'hate' someone just because you don't like their music?

Yudansha - thanks for your reply. I agree with you - everyone has ther own tastes. You are correct. My concern is that Steven may become another David Hasselhoff - a joke that everyone laughs at. Also, I never said that I would hate him for his terrible entrance into music.......my point was that it may turn some pseudo-fans away. I mean let's face it, he has a bad reputation to begin with, his 'acting' career is pretty much over (I hope his latest isn't the end!), and now he's toying with music. I think he should stick to making class C movies and keep all of us fans happy! Go Steven!

I'd rather see B movies...

Right, it may turn some people away, but not his fans. I can see that you're a Steven Seagal fan, and that you haven't said anything horrible against Seagal. There are people saying such things here all the time, but you are just the first to talk like that about his music. I think it just took some by surprise and you see the outlash. Trust me, there is alot of criticism going on around here about Seagal's latest DTVs (direct-to-video DVDs).

Yudansha - agreed. You seem like a very level headed fan in this forum.......unlike some of the others!!

Maybe you guys would be interested in seeing some of my Seagal stuff.....I have some pics of me and him together (shaking hands, golfing and having a few drinks!). I also have some cool autographed stuff from him. I have one of the actual pool balls he wrapped in a towel and whacked that guy with (9 ball) autographed from him!

That's very cool!

You golfed with him? LOL I didn't know Seagal was into golfing. :D
You can post the pics if you'd like. I'm sure many would love to see them.

O.k. - I'll scan some pics into tonight and post them tommorrow! Not sure if he golfs - he wasn't very good at that either.....but we were just hitting balls from a driving range. I'll send a link to them tommorrow! (he autographed them too!).

How come when this phrase is used by other posters, it is not considered rude, but when I did, it was like a cardinal sin?

I tried. I really did try to make it through the whole album. I couldn't. As a huge Blues fan......I just felt it was an insult. The entire listening experince made me angry. Sorry - sounds like everyone is such a Seagal fan that they can't admit to bad music when they hear it. Anyone know if Seagal will ever 'act' again? His last few have been real bombs too. I thought he was great in Executive Decision though.

You don't sound too much of a fan to me. I am very critical of a lot of Stevens work, hopefully always in a constructive way, and never anything I wouldn't say to his face. I am certainly not a dotty fan, not interested in the fight scenes, and certainly not viewing him through anything remotely resembling rose tinted lense. It doesn't help to just make negative statements without any follow up reason. I listened to the album, the first two tracks put me off, but I persevered, and it grew on me. It's not all Blues, it's a great mix. Some don't work as well as others - but that is true of any album. It's great for the guitar solo's alone, and his voice is certainly on a parr with the likes of Eric Clapton, actually better in many ways.
As for his acting - he is not the greatest actor in Hollywood, but he is certainly a long long way from the worst. His acting hasn't gone down hill, but the quality of his last few movies has. We all hope that next year he will cut down on quantity and return to quality. Please don't come here as a new member, and attack without justification.

There are a few people here on this site who know much about music, and their opinions suggest to me the music on the CD is much better than even they expected. While we have discussions on what's good and what's not so good about Steven Seagal (and it isn't all necessarily 100% praise all the time), we don't encourage people to try starting flamewars by inflammatory language.

Newcomers are always welcome; what we do not welcome is people making personal remarks about other members here. This is a site where many people around the world visit and participate, and not all members here have English as their first language.

If this is a problem for you, perhaps you should find another site that is more suited to your level of tolerance.

Ha Ha! I knew I wouldn't get away with that!!! OK there are a few 100% albums .... but not that many - there are usually a few fair and one or two bloody awful tracks lurking on most albums.
