Well, not sure if anyone knows, and I will try to find the article, as I have it somewhere, but Seagal had set up a police officer tactical firing course. He was featured in a shooting magazine (I will try to locate this article) and shown shooting his Colt 45 and describing the course and qualifications. It was an interesting article and the author was amazed at Seagals shooting ability. His course was apparently used by local and federal law enforcement officers alike!!!!

The articles are very long, but I will only give you the basic ideas:

Steven Seagal talked a lot about the dangers of drugs and alcohol abuse. He said that he became a policeman and an actor through hard work, NOT through drugs and alcohol. His speech was part of anti-drug campaign which he took part as soon as he was asked to do so. He said that he was in the special forces, then he became a cop and an instructor and then an actor and that drugs would not have let him achieve all of these things.

That's the important stuff about Steven. The rest is about the organizers of the event, the shows that were put on after Steven's speech and other such stuff.

The articles applaud Steven for taking part and for his charity work all over the world including here in Romania and they mention his donations to the village of Milcov.

Sorry, did not have time to translate the rest...

P.S. The article mentions that Steven is filming "Shadows of the past" and that apparently they will not film the whole movie in Romania as, again apparently, Steven will only be staying for one more week in Romania...

The article is a bit older but it says that Shadows of the past is a Sony movie and that Steven is the producer. He also said that after he finishes Shadows of the past he will go to Louisiana (USA) where he will make a movie about blues music. The article also says that he finds the people in Romania as very nice and that he likes the food here, especially fish and salads...

Are you talking about this photo and this article:

...visit to the Tunari Police firing range where he saw how the Romanian Police train and how the do target practice. Steven wanted to take his shot at the target, the same way as the Police did, but he did not want to use the GLOCK (a maker of guns) guns that the Romanian police uses, he used a COLT 45 like he has in America.

This makes sense since I've read he is a collector of weapons, guns, swords, etc, both old and modern.

The second article is about the same piece of news, BUT is does say that five (5) of the six (6) bullets fired by Steven hit the head and chest of the fake target which was made up to look like a bad guy with a hostage. SO, the first five (5) bullets went in the head and chest of the BAD GUY while the sixth (6th) bullet went into the head of the hostage. That was a result of 5 out of 6 bullets for Steven Seagal which was deemed as very good.

In other related articles on the net I've read that the Romanian Police officials have said that Steven was very precise and accurate when shooting and that his result was deemed very good for someone who does not make a living out of shooting REAL LIFE bad guys. They said that in movies it is much easier to shoot since you are using fake bullets and the target already has little explosions in his clothes made to look and sound like bullets hitting the target. They said that the had not expected Steven to be so good with a REAL weapon in a close to real situation.

our Romanian friends Can you translate this ??
---------------------------------------

To answer aout S.S.'s dog....he has a German Shepard called Hamlet. I know this as he allowed my grandaughter to play with the dog while she made a movie with him (as his daughter). Movie name, Shadowman. Made in Romania in August and Sep't. 2005.

I notice the clothes that Seagal is wearing in the photos at the firing range. They make him look relaxed and comfortable and also flatter him greatly. It is a shame he doesn't try wearing clothes like that more often in his films. I thought it worked very well in Belly of the Beast (2003).
