"I'm happy, that Seagal realized this self-important point of view of the US spectators, and says with his films: you are stupid, there is filmmaking outside the USA.
You personally expressed your happiness at Steven seeing us American's as being stupid and carried his business elsewhere!
I don't think you or TD can express how he feels!
And with TD being an administrator she should see how this was offensive to me!
If TD is not happy with him, and that disappointed she should move on!
Kcs' language was a bit strong and could be taken offensively if one was inclined to do so. However, he has apologised for his comment, without any prompting from any of the administrators. Please also remember that English is not his first language and what might be a mild comment in Hungarian, in translation might be a lot stronger after crossing the language bridge.
I certainly don't think Kcs was intending to offend you personally or any American here; most of us here have pretty much accepted that Steven does not like making films in the U.S. anymore. He simply expressed his opinion as to one reason that might be.
As for anyone else expressing opinions - there will always be more than one opinion expressed here. No one opinion is more right than any other's. Opinions can be expressed freely, good or bad. I have the right to say I am not happy with the quality of Steven's films and why I think he's not producing good films, just as much as anyone else has the right to say they are perfectly happy with him making any films at all. It is just my opinion and, as such, it is for what it is worth.
However, if someone insists he or she must leave because they don't agree with the opinions being expressed - well, that's a different story, and I don't think any one member here has the right to tell another member to leave if the other's opinion doesn't agree with theirs. If the opinion being expressed is a vicious attack on Steven (as happens from time to time when we get a troll), then swift action is taken. But no one should be told to leave for expressing an opinion that is different from one's own.
I don't agree with Kcs - but I'm not telling him he should leave because of it.
If we all agreed with everyone else, there wouldn't be any discussion, now would there....
