Steven Seagal Was Right Not To Do Expendables 3

I saw Expendables 3 yesterday and I was terribly disappointed. The script has no sense (the story based on the replacement of old by young expendables was boring), the action scenes as well as visual effects were terrible (the quality was close to what we can get in a DTV movie), the acting was bad (Ronda Roussey will be Razzie awarded, for sure) and overall the movie was slow and boring.....boring.

Taken together, we can honestly say that Steven Steven took the best decision for a while not to make this film.

I agree. I doubt there will be another one but if they do make one they need to make it a hard "R" and I would only be interested in it if Seagal is the bad guy. Yea I know, too many ifs.

The Expendables is not about a great story or something like that. It's just about a bunch of 'old' guys that don't take themselves to serious.

It's just entertainment. Quite enjoyed this one, thought Banderas was hilarious. True, they could have done a bit less or even without the young ones.

So, i don't think it was the best decision for Seagal not to participate. The movie could have given him plenty of exposure in media and sorts. And the expendables 3is still a 100 times better then anything Seagal has been putting out the last few years.

Peace

Me to. But the sad thing is that Seagal will never be in The Expendables as long as Ronda Rousey is part of it.

Of course, I don't expect a great script in a such movie. However, a story could be simple but entertaining (it was the case for EX1). Unfortunately, EX3 was just boring, the large part dedicated to the "young" expendables was too long and, if you think about it, does not fit with the spirit of the initial movie. The actions scenes were very classic and sometimes/often not very well done. Stallone looked somehow tired ; the guys we want to see had actually a small part in the movie (Statham, Ford, Arnold, Snipes, and Li) ; Banderas did the job but was sometimes too much ; Gibson was good.

Personally, I don't expect more exposure in media for Steven Seagal, I just want him to do good movies but EX3 is bad.

Said differently, if Steven Seagal was in the movie it would have been an additional bad movie from him.

It would have been a 100% better move for him to be in Ex3 than making crap movies with Waxman and Voltage. Waxman and Voltage destroys his career by making the same B crap shit over and over every single time!!!!

I'm fully agree with you, Waxman bad works killed Seagal carrer. But moving from bad DTV movies to bad theatrical movies is not a smart thing.
