I can tell you that Seagal and Norris are no friends. Seagal posted on social media: I´m at the Comic Con in Dortmund(Germany) catching up with great friends like Chuck Norris.

Chuck Norris would never say that Seagal is his friend because it´s not the case.

First, Seagal insulted Chuck Norris many times in the past. Chuck Norris´s karate student and best friend Bob Wall threatened Seagal to come to his house and kick his ass.

Look at the picture where they´re together. You can clearly see that two people who don´t know each other met for the second or third time.

It´s hilarious how Seagal claim that Chuck and he are great friends.

You can see that they are not friends indeed, and Seagal has insulted Chuck (he said that he was old and could not fight anymore and stuff). But when he was asked at comic con who would win a fight, Seagal or Norris, he said he doesnt want to answer silly questions. And then said what Norris did with martial arts, so wasnt insulting him again. If he did that again...

Was Norris there when they asked Seagal the question about Chuck?

What exactly said Seagal about Norris in Dortmund about what Chuck did for the martial arts?

Can you be more precisely, please?

Why are you so curious about this, may I ask?:)

Sure, i will try my best to be more precisely, but i dont remember the exact words he said.

On the main stage, 14.20, Steven had an interview. They asked him who would win a fight, Norris or Seagal. Seagal said that he doesnt want to answer such silly questions. Seagal was sitting on stage alone.

The interviewer said that they spoke to Norris, and that he said that he is glad he doesnt have to fight Seagal, because he is too fast.

Then the interviewer asked that there is a difference in the fight style. Seagal then said that he started with karate, but practised Aikido much more after that. And that Norris practised karate much more, so that the fight styles were different. That’s what he said. Nothing insulting.

Seagal is taking it differently. He was asked what he thinks of Jean Claude van Damme. Seagal said, ‘i dont know him, he is an actor, and he is doing his side of martial arts’.

We all know he has said that Van Damme is NO martial artist and that they definately dont get along. He is playing it safe i think. He didnt say anything what was negative, like he doesnt know him at all. Like he know a little bit who he is. He knows for sure who he is but is not saying the negative things that he said before. Hmmm..

Are you referring to the Michael Schiavello 'VOICE' interview?
To be fair, Seagal didn't really say anything bad about Chuck in that interview, only that (quote) "Chuck is in his mid 70's now" (in regards to the question "Which Martial Artist Would you want to have your back in a street fight") The question itself was probably only asked to goad a reaction about Van Damme out of Seagal (which worked, I guess?) :D

I've never heard Seagal say anything bad about Chuck Norris....But I'm aware that Bob Wall has claimed that Seagal has (except I've never seen the quotes?)

Yes i meant the voice interview. You are right, he didnt really insult Chuck i’ve watched it again:)

The reaction about van damme they did get haha, he said ‘can i laugh in your face? Do i think he is an martial artist or tough guy, NO’

They tried it again at comic con, and then he only said ‘he is doing his side of martial arts’ which i dont get because he hates van damme. Or was he just holding it back?

There are a lot of stories about Wall saying that Seagal said that ‘he could beat him easily’ and that Wall talked to Seagal, and that when Wall mentioned that he wants to fight with him that Seagal walkes away every time. And that Wall had Seagal in an aikido move or something and Seagal couldnt do anything about it, but proof is nowhere..

Yes, if you search on youtube for 'interview Steven Seagal Comic Con Germany' then you get the interview from Sunday, not from Saturday. That's in my head haha.

But i am curious about what you guys think of what Seagal said about Van Damme, because he said bad things abouth im before.

I'd like to think that somehow Seagal is easing back on the trash talk, as it's probably cost him a fair few movie roles over the years. I'd love to see them in a movie together, but I doubt that'll happen (largely down to Seagal) Van Damme on the other hand, has said nice things about Seagal. But I guess the 'arrogance' is part of Seagal's charm.
But without being catty, I'd say it's likely Seagal's attitude (and work ethic) that prevent him from returning to A-list movies (which is a shame)

First of all, you can´t compare Seagal to Norris. Norris was the best fighter of his era. He won 3 times out of four fights against the great Joe Lewis. But keep in mind that they did point-fighting at the time because full contact fighting wasn´t around when Chuck was fighting.

Gene LeBell said that in a real fight Bruce Lee would never have beaten Chuck Norris. You can watch his comment on the Bruce Lee documentary "Iam Bruce Lee".

Chuck Norris is also a 3rd degree black belt in Brazilian Jui Jitsu-the most effective martial arts form in the world. He brought the Gracies to the USA. That was back in 1988, three years before UFC 1. Do I have to say more?

Seagal is just an Aikido expert. I don´t think that he´s good in karate.

I think that Norris just wanted to be nice by saying Seagal is too fast. The truth is that Norris is too old but I would bet that there´s no 78 year old martial artist on this earth as great as Norris.

The only advantage that Seagal has is that Norris is nearly 80 years old and of course not in his prime anymore. And of Course he´s heavier than Norris which is always an advantage.

Watch the interview again. The interviewer asked Seagal: Which tough guy in the movies do you want by your side in a real fight?

Seagal couldn´t name anybody. The interviewer said "van Damme?".
Seagal replied: "Can I laugh in your face?".

The interviewer asked "Michael Jai White?".
Seagal replied: "Can I laugh in your face"?

The interviewer asked: "Chuck Norris?".

Seagal said: Well, Chuck is in his mid 70´s, 76/77 years old and I heard that ………………..

Then he didn´t continue.

He wanted to say something negative, that´s for sure. But he chickened out.

Let me help you because I consider myself a Seagal and Norris expert.

After the release of "Above the Law" Seagal gave "Black Belt Magazine" an interview by saying that both Lee and Norris are not great.

Bob Wall read his comments About his friends and threatened Seagal to kick his ass.

In 1992 Bob Wall created the so-called "Dirty Dozen". The "Dirty Dozen" were a group of people who were among the great fighters of all time.

Including Bill "Superfoot" Wallace, Joe Lewis, Benny "The Jet" Urquidez and many more. Bob Wall said that Seagal can choose any of them and they would prove to him that his has only "a big mouth".

Seagal constantly said negative things in the past about Bruce Lee and Chuck Norris.

Watch on YouTube: An interviewer asked Seagal if Bruce Lee was the greatest of all time.

Seagal replied: Not even close! They were many great masters who in my opinion were much better than Bruce.

I mean, come on, how disrespectful is that.

Seagal never ever had a fight in his life but he acts like that he invented fighting.

I like his arrogance, I think it´s very entertaining.

Do you really think that he showed UFC fighters Daniel Cormier, Lyoto Machida or Anderson Silva how to fight.

There´s a reason why Aikido is not around in the UFC because there´re many more effective martial arts form in the world.

If a skilled "ground fighter" takes Seagal to the ground, then it´s over within 30 seconds because Seagal is only familiar with a "stand up position" and that has nothing to do with it that Seagal is nearly 70 years old and that he´s overweighted.

Well, it's Seagals opinion. And why is it disrespectful? He doesn't say he is bad, he just thinks he isn't that great as everybody says he is.
And to be honest, recently I watched a few of Bruce's movies again and yes he is good, very good, but there are indeed masters around that are better. The fact is that Bruce got to show his talent in movies and many, many masters don't. So they are unknown to the majority of the world.

And this will always be the case. Seagal is very good in aikido, but there are many masters who are better than Seagal.

And we know for a fact that Seagal has never had a fight in his life? There are stories about his time in Japan..... we must not forget we know of Seagals life as he entered the movie business, he did have a life before that. From before I wouldn't know what is true or not, wasn't there, neither were the paparazzi at the time.

And no, of course he didn't teach the UFC-ers how to fight, they already knew. But he trained (with) them for a while and probably tought them one or two things.

And there is a big if in 'if a skilled ground fighter'. They first have to take him to the ground. I'm not saying they can't (with his age and physique nowadays it will be easier then in his prime), but when he was in his prime (let's say ABTL upto US2) he was fast and they would have a pretty tough time getting him to the ground.

So again, Seagal has an opinion about Bruce, Chuck, Jean-Claude (and pretty much everybody else in the world) and he is entitled to his opinion, we don't have to agree with it.

You always get somebody on the ground. Look at the UFC. It´s very easy to get someone on the ground in an octagon if you´re a skilled fighter. That´s the reason why Brazilian Jui Jitsu is the most effective martial arts form ever.

A guy like Rickson Gracie(probably the best ever) would need 10 seconds to get everybody involved in a "ground fight".
