Steven Seagal is Submerged Source: Emmett/Furla Films Wednesday, January 14, 2004

Emmett/Furla Films Productions Corporation has announced that it has completed negotiations with international action star Steven Seagal to top-line an additional picture which is slated to begin principal photography on April 1st.

Anthony Hickox will direct Submerged, which Emmett/Furla Films' Randall Emmett and George Furla will produce with Paul de Souza. Colin Green wrote the screenplay based on a story by himself and Paul de Souza.

Co-chairs Randall Emmett and George Furla stated: "We are happy to, once again, be working with Steven Seagal. He has always delivered solid, exciting performances for us and we believe coupling him with 'Submerged' will make for an action-packed film that will hopefully appeal to a broad audience. This project is the perfect fit for Family Room Entertainment."

Following Submerged, Emmett/Furla Films will produce a second picture with Steven Seagal entitled, Repentance.

April 1, thats my Birthday. I'm turning 26 :) :) But the best news is that www.comingsoon.net only puts up news about Theatrical released movies..never straight to dvd/video movies.

I have just been on Playusa.com and they have got Submerged for release 31/5/05 for £14.99

So, if you are in England and have a multi-region dvd player, then I recommend this site, I have bought hundreds of DVD's from them and the service is fantastic.

I have already pre-ordered my copy. If you pre-order and they get the film a week before released they dispatch there and then.

Just thought I'd let you know

Keep the faith

I pre-ordered 'Into The Sun' and did not receive it till about a week or two after the official release date. :( Although it did have the trailer for 'Submerged' on it. :)

Hi, Krom. Welcome to the forum! :) You certainly are lucky to be seeing Submerged this far ahead of the earliest release date, which is May 31 in the U.S. I hope you enjoy it! :) Be sure to let us know what you thought of it. But don't give away the good stuff! :D

Enjoy yourself on the forum. :) As a fan of Steven's, you'll find the latest information, free downloads for members, thousands of pics, etc.

Glad to have you with us, Krom. I'll check out your Arnold site, as I'm a fan of his also. I do hope you'll be back, because we'll be here! :D

P.S. I deleted your duplicate post in the other thread. Perhaps you might consider creating a thread in the "Introduce Yourself" forum of Off Topic, relaying this information and maybe a bit more about yourself, if you'd like. We always like to learn more about new members and enjoy the chance to welcome them. If you're interested, here's the direct link to that thread. Just click "New Thread" and introduce away. :D If you ever need any help, just ask. Anyone will be glad to assist you. :)

Glad you finally decided to join up! :)

And I've been looking over your Arnold site. You've done a remarkable job with that! It's one of the most comprehensive sites I've seen--and very professional looking. Great idea to have the info available in the different languages, also. I'm sure your forum will be quite busy once you've finished construction on that. Keep up the good work! :)

I don't quite understand the logic behind this. Why is the Romanian TV premiere one month before the USA DVD premiere?? Some bizarre kind of test screening? usually studios are afraid of pireate copies appearing on the Internet before the premiere. Now the studio shows the movie on TV?? What a stupidness!

Well PRO TV is property of MEDIA PRO PICTURES, the biggest movie studio in Eastern Europe. They are in very close connection with Bauer Martinez Studios and seems that they premiered all of their movie. Now i'm not sure about Submerged. Second buy THE DEFENDER it hass been filmed here o Media Pro and is the best Dolph Lundgren movie since Joshua Tree as main role and even director.

So i hope that Steven Seagal is joining Martinez because this guys makes Van Dammes latest actioner Wake of Death and Dolph's The Defender.

I can't belive that 10 years ago Van Dammme, Lundgren and Seagal ruled the action cinema and now they are straight to video.
I'm sure they can comeback if they will take care of choosing the right script and crew.

Submerged Review

First of all the movie was translated from original title - Enemy Within.
PS:I dont' want to spoil you.

I would like to say this movie is the best Seagal's in years, but beacause of the Bugarian visual effects company was a disaster. The guys made in the past worst Van Damme movie ever called Derailed. This movie used the more CGI shots than any other Seagal movies, very cheap effects like an PlayStation1 game.
The movie have a great cinematography, the image looks like an A movie, the filters were used very smart, music and the editing also. I've seen some great shots in this movie but this is not enogh.
Anthony Hickox is out of shape since 1996 Lundgren's Storm Catcher. I can say that he's trying to rippe off all modern action movie.
The cast was the best since Exit Wounds, Vinnie Jones is great and the beattle between Seagal and Gray Daniels reminds me the fight between Steven and Tommy Lee Jones in Under Siege.
The script is to wide for the budget. It's a very strange story,a little bit of chaos.
I'm happy that Steven is making a movie with a much more US commando movie than asian action movie.
Let's make it clear:
+
1. great cast
2. great cinematography
3. great ost

-
1. the script
2. the director
3. Bulgaria

I'm saying Bulgaria because this country have a very bad standards in cinema . My country ruled with Could Mountain or with latest Dolph Lundgren's movie.

I'm still missing the old times with Seagal/Nasso theatrical movies.
He has to stop making 2-3 average direct-to-video movies per year than 1 dam good movie per year.

ps: I'm not a specialist but i've seen thousands of movies Seagal's and all the other action heroes movies and A movies, i'm a movie maniac and i have some feelings regardind a good movie.
