I have to say i was not dissapointed. Yes there were a few fights only, but the other things were great in this one!!!

Out of Reach was crap.. It hasn't got any action-scenes, only these shorts, bad made scenes...

Talk about repeating yourself :) Just harmless fun. But I don’t think you should force your opinion on Little Dragon. You stated yours and he stated his. If they don’t align well move on. That’s life.

Oh i don't want to force my opinion to anyone else... Everyone has his own opinion. But i really liked this movie and so i can repeat it many times, and i still want to repeat it again :)

Hmmm, comparing Submerged and Out of Reach. As a critic, Out of Reach wasn't that great. I'd probably give OOR a 4/10 as a critic. As a Seagal fan - not looking for best actor of the year but for adventure and fun - it wasn't that great nor that terrible. Probably a 5.5/10, still not great but better. I loved that shootout in the little "whore house" (excuse my language I can't find another word) but everything else was below average. Seagal's acting was the same so-so, but I liked the drama more than some others. Now Submerged, I liked the setting. Not on the sub because the sub setting wasn't that great, but I liked some parts of Bulgaria and the office building in the file showdown. Submerged as a critic...3/10, as a Seagal fan 5/10...The only reason why I gave it a 5/10 is because of the final 5 minutes which were freakin awesome. I wish the entire movie was that way...Bust into a big office facility, use a nice silver barretta (I think that's what it was, too dusty to tell) and a shot gun to take out a small army, then beat the hell out of this massive man...that's cool. And how freakin awesome is that shot where Seagal/Giant Opponent circle around and Seagal throws the shot gun down towards the camera in slow motion...But where I think about it long and hard...I would give Out of Reach the better hand just because it had some action and small fights every so scenes which I liked. Although they both were terrible...I choose OOR...Odd ain't it?

Ouch!!!!

Well, let me first start off by saying, i'm a long time diehard Seagal fan and own all of his movies except; Fire Down Below, The Patriot, Out of Reach, Into the Sun & the newest joke- Submerged. I just got done watching "Submerged" and i can honestly say it really baffles me why Seagal has his vioce dubbed for the majority of the movie??? It's not like he can't speak and/ or act- he is already in the sceen so you why have your voice dubbed over- i dont get it? And i realize it's a straight to video movie, i've got used to it, but doesn't the director and especially Seagal realize how obvios it is that Seagal isn't speaking with his own voice and that his true fans will be very disapointed??? It ruined the movie for me plus there was one maybe two fight sceens with Seagal in it- BORING! I actually liked "Into The Sun" and was hoping for more with "Submerged"- come on the movie is named after the fact that they are under the water in a sub and it gets blown up half way thru the movie and there is nothing more in regards to being "submerged"- dont have to be a rocket scientist to realize that is a stupid name for this movie. Well, just needed to vent but if Seagal keeps this crap up, i may have to stop wasting my time watching this crap- especially if he doesnt have the bleeping time to use his own voice!! And just be content with my DVD collection of Seagals ass-kicking movies like "Out For Justice", "Marked For Death", among others...

Mason already addressed this. Maybe you are still missing it. Steven Seagal from the start of his career to now has been advertised as a Action Star. Not as a Dramatic Actor who walks around the screen for one hour and thirty minutes discussing various issues. Lets leave that to the newspaper :) It’s perfectly alright to feel unfulfilled because Steven isn’t delivering the Action Scenes we so hunger for. Sadly now days it’s the norm that we get fights that are less than a minute and a lot of talking. And to be honest I don’t mind talkative movies. I watch plenty of intelligent films that have zero action. But with Seagal its different. Its expected. And once again I wouldn’t mind if this was something along the lines of Under Siege and Hard to Kill. But its boring and tedious dialogue a bum writer wrote.

Yes thats right, i except action-scenes too!!! But that was the part i liked in submerged, it has a lot of action.. .Yes not "AWESOME" scenes. But its better then in other dtv movies where he talks one hour! you understand what i mean?

Believe so mate. Basically what you saying is you enjoyed the other scenes as well because they at least attempted. So in the end they ended up being activities of some sort. Made the movie flow better. I understand you. Because I would not exactly call that shoot out good you know :) Watched the clip twice and it was quite poor. But at least it was something right? Better than talking.

Not sure about the film itself but the Chapters are hilarious. Not sure who comes up with these but they are ridiculously hilarious.

Well that wasn't really a Steven Seagal film, he just made an appearance as the bad guy.

You have to be careful now days. Especially with Other Regions of his films. If I were you I would save my money for something else. As far as his typical DTV Region1 Releases Blockbuster here gets them quite quickly in the Pre-Viewed Section. I mean $10 for a film that’s not that great is quite a nice price. I only spend $30 on Special Editions of films of substance(Once Upon A Time In America, The Good, The Bad, And The Ugly, Gangs Of New York etc).

P.S And yes I completely agree. Warner Brothers and Steven Seagal had a great partnership going. Columbia/Tri Star are good studios don’t get me wrong. But their DTV movies are usually pure crap.

After watching the movie Submerged i thought it was pretty good for an action movie.Plenty of money spent on the budget to make it a first rate action movie.I have one question why was Stevens voice was dubbed by another actor. The thing here was the inconsistincy of the voice over.Half the time it was stevens real voice and half the time it was the actor hired to dub his voice. It didnt fool me for one second. The actor, didnt get it quite right though with certian speech inflection that only steven has and it was easy to spot when the dubs occured. It was a little annoying at times when the dubs were mouthed in.Overall if you can forget about the voice dubbing it was one of stevens better movies lately.

one of seagals best dvd movies, the action was incredible should have been in the theater, i thought that it was a really good cast i would definately recommend this movie to any true seagal fan

Seagal turns out yet another mildly impressive
B-movie, which could have been better. However, Submerged
is a lot more enjoyable than his previous B-movie releases.
It's also nice to see that Seagal's voiceover was handled a little more meticulously, but still leaves one wondering why they needed to hire a sound-alike in the first place. As usual Seagal is in his Terminator form taking out his antagonists with ease (I don't recall any fight scene in which he was harmed). Another B-action star, Gary Daniels, gets to go toe-to-toe with the Aikido master, unfortunately Seagal polishes Daniels off without breaking a sweat and begins ranting in a humorous tone. Be on the lookout for Seagal's "shotgun kick" in which he sends the unsuspecting villain plummeting to his death. The story is entertaining up until the crew manage to get off of the submarine and it's here where the movie begins to drag. This was an enjoyable film but not one that can be watched repeatedly.

When i first heard about this movie 6 months ago, I had little hope. It is directed by Anthony Hickox who has directed some really bad movies. The premise was originally to be about mutants being on a sub and Steven fighting them off. But they changed it to a more logical plot(very happy they did). Submerged stars Steven Seagal, and Vinnie Jones. They are the most important actors in this film. Basically Steven is a independent agent who has his own private crew and they take out the bad guys. He is called upon to deal with a scientest who created a mind controlling drug and has used it to take out the US Ambassador. Steven and the others know that something else is going to down and they must hurry and stop it!

Submerged is better then Out for a Kill, Belly of the Beast, Out of Reach and Into the Sun(which we all thought would be good). Into the Sun had a budget of $35million. This one had only $15million. But the ACTION WAS GREAT! There were 5 times more action then Into The Sun. The plot was better and so were the characters. I was happy to see such good actors. The CGI werent tops. but they got the job done. There is a good amount of action to keep the fans pleased. I know I was. Submerged is rated "R" for Strong Violence and Language. Probably the best movie he has made since Exit Wounds. In my opinion only, if this movie has a bigger budget and more known actors, this could have been Under Seige 3! It was that good. Sit back and enjoy!
