www.imdb.com you'll find a commentary which said that Submerged is a good action-movie and that it is not Seagal's baddest flick. Check it!
Thanks Dida! It's good to see postive reviews for a change. It appears the only problem with this movie, is the dubbing, damn it. Here are two reviews from IMDB
Submerged is decent., 26 May 2005
6 out of 10 stars
I just got done watching Submerged. This is decent movie, I would even say it is good, if half of Seagal's lines weren't voiced over. What is that all about. The real star of this movie is the director. It looks like he has a bright future and he did a good job with this movie. I hope he and Seagal work together again. This was Seagal's best movie since Exit Wounds. This was way better than Half Past Dead.
It was also nice to see Seagal and another Martial Artist throw down (Gary Daniels). Also, Seagal looked like he was in good shape. There is not a lot of hand to hand going on, but this was a decent movie. Vinnie Jones and Seagal appeared to have some good Karma going on.

One of Seagal's finest efforts, but William Hope steals the show., 25 May 2005

Submerged is the newest Steven Seagal film released here in Brazil, in DVD, after Into the Sun.Although reviews weren't good about the movie, viewing it makes me understand why you can't bother listening to what critics have to say nowadays, specially regarding Steven Seagal, who is constantly bashed by them. In a few words: if you enjoy pure action movies, you will love Submerged. It isn't even by far the piece of crap some people try to make you believe it is. The story is very similar to the one of The Manchurian Candidate. Basically, a group of renegades lead by Chris Cody (Seagal) is sent to take down a mad scientist (Nick Brimble) who, with the aide of a terrorist group and a corrupted agent (William Hope), is using a drug that can make normal people commit acts of suicide and mass murder. As far as action scenes go, this one has it all (loved the showdown in the Opera, the submarine going down under is well-made, the fight scenes were great, not Seagal's best, but good nonetheless), and for its budget, you can say it was done with great care. The filmmaker really pushed to the limits given the money they had, and the final result is an above the average, entertaining, good, if not great, typical action flick. Steven Seagal is still a powerful presence, but Vinnie Jones steals some scenes in which he is with him, Jones basically repeats the tough guy characters he is used to play, but does it well. The best performance from the cast comes from William Hope, though. With his limited time, he gave the movie's outstanding performance as Fletcher, an agent who is playing both sides.I remember that I was a kid when I first saw him, in Hellbound Hellraiser II (in which he had one of the most harrowing brutal death scenes I've ever seen, in the hands of Clare Higgins), and that I said to myself, That guy can surely act. He is one of the most talented actors I've seen, it's just a shame he doesn't get the attention he deserves, but I love to watch him in whatever he does. So, the bottom line is: Don't expect Shakespeare. Want a serious drama?Go get Der Untergang. But for Steven Seagal and action fans, this one has it all. Give it a chance!
