Sylvester Stallone's Get Carter & Eye See You Movies

Both of these movies are very good & i was surprised at how good they were cause Stallone hasn't done a good movie in a long time. Get Carter also had Mickey Rourke, Michael Caine, Rhona Mitra in the movie. Rhona now plays on the hit tv show The Practice. She is very attractive & i like her accent. Rachel Leigh Cook was also in Get Carter. She's not bad looking either. Eye See You also had Charles S Dutton, Tom Berenger, Robert Patrick, Jeffrey Wright, Courtney B Vance, Kris Kristofferson in it. This movie had a excellent supporting cast. Eye See You came straight to video last yr. Ya'll have got to check out both of these movies if u haven't seen them. I was disappointed in Sylvester's Copland movie. That movie had a good cast of actors in it & it sucked. I didn't like Sylvester's character at all. He was too soft & overweight. He usually takes charge in his movies. I'm still a Sylvester fan & i'm gonna ride with him until the wheels fall off. I've been a fan of his since i was a kid when Rocky III, Rocky IV, Rambo 1 & 2, Cobra, Over The Top movies were out. I rented his Nighthawks movie last week from the library. I saw it when i was a kid but i don't remember much about it so i saw it again. That movie was excellent. I like how Sylvester blew away Rutger Hauer at the end LOL. Sylvester tricked him cause when Rutger came in Lindsey Wagner's house, Rutger thought that Lindsey was washing dishes & before Rutger could stab her, it turned out to be Sylvester who was wearing her wig LOL. I wonder how Sylvester got in her clothes so quick. Sylvester also did a movie this yr that came straight to video that sucked really bad. It was called Avenging Angelo with Madeleine Stowe & Anthony Quinn. Madeleine Stowe is so beautiful. This was Anthony's last flick before he died.

Yep, Avenging Angelo was a pretty bad film but I wanted to see it because it was as you say Anthony Quinn's last film..
Did you know that the movie Night Hawks could have been Seagal's first film..He was offered the role that eventually went to Rutger Hauer but turned it down. He wanted to play the character that Stallone did and not the bad guy. He was only interested in doing the film if he was gonna be the main star...I think this movie came out originally in 1981 or so..

I've seen it in several entertainment magazines throughout the years and also think that it was in the "Master Of Harmony" martial arts magazine that was totally devoted to Seagal and his career in the movies and martial arts..This magazine is available from time to time on ebay..
J. Lucas could probably confirm this.
Rutger Hauer's role was definately offered to him..I've put this on this message board before and also the stevenseagal.com message board and each time it comes as a surprise ..This is old news. He turned it down because he was only interested in the movie if he was gonna play the lead.

It could have been printed in a dozen "entertainment" magazines for all I care, that doesn't mean anything concrete. If it was a mag with some rep then I might sit up and take notice... But the fact is, there are hundreds upon hundreds of unsubstantiated rumours floating around Hollywood about different actors being offered different parts.

This one sounds a tad fishy to me (especially considering that the Nighthawks role was that of a German/Euro type, which hardly matches Seagal's look)

It was'nt a rumour Disciple, it was a fact that he was offered a feature role in the movie Night Hawks. I can't remember positively if it was Rutger's role but I'm almost sure it was..I know for a fact that he was offered a feature role in Night Hawks-that has been in a few reputable magazines..
I know for sure that it was mentioned in the Martial Arts Legends Presents: Steven Seagal-Master of Harmony edition which came out in the early nineties.
If you dont know; that was put together by the people who do Black Belt magazine and this issue was entirely devoted to Steven Seagal and his career in martial arts and the movies. There were two of these Martial Arts Legends magazines that featured Seagal..It also has a lot of information about Seagal-the most I have ever seen in any magazine..
The bottom line is that he turned the role down even though he was recomended to Sterling Siliphant(I think it was) for a feature role in the film..
