Thank you, everyone! Mama san, suzi, jules and anoli, I love the birthday card images! Thank you gunslinger, stevenseagalfan, craig, take-sensei and robert, for your kind thoughts and wishes! And Heather - I've seen "21" twice and am working towards the third one (but that's a long way off yet!).
I did have a lovely day. I did something I've never done before - I took a whole day and did absolutely nothing except pamper myself! Yes, I had a day at the "spa"! It was wonderful, and very relaxing (and now I am broke but I won't think about that until I get my credit card bill in January!).

Well, I don't know yet if he's going to be doing a signing or not. The concert starts quite late - 9 p.m., and it goes for about 2 hours. Since it's the beginning of the tour, he might hang about and let the ravening hordes get near him for an autograph and a photo (apparently he's occasionally unbent enough to allow the odd photo op), but I don't know if this venue is going to do what other venues do, and strip search attendees for camera and other recording equipment.
I have to get there by bus since I don't have a car. I know there's a bus that goes to Casino Rama regularly, I just haven't had the enthusiasm yet to look up the schedules. Getting home is going to be even worse since it's going to be so late at night, and I have three aikido classes the next day (regular class, kids' class and beginners' seminar).
Talk about being dead on one's feet....
