Terminator 3 to be given a 12A Certificate!!

I was looking through the latest decisions made by the British Board Of Film Classification on their website www.bbfc.co.uk and noticed that they have passed "Terminator 3: The Rise Of The Machines" with a 12A certificate. That means children from the age of 12 are allowed to go see it, and is similar to the PG-13 rating over in America. I know a films rating generally is'nt the basis to pre-judge a film and does'nt mean it will affect the overall quality of a movie but come on, how can a dark, violent franchise like "Terminator" possibly be made plausible and in tone with the two previous installments when the darker elements have been watered down to kiddie-friendly level. I have heard mixed reviews about it, although over on the ActionKings website, Morgan has given it a 4 star rating. Hope it is good though, but this certification does'nt bode too well with me.

Peace.

Yes i've heard this too, it will probably be cut much like 2 Fast 2 Furious was to achieve a 12A rating. :(

I think i will watch it at the cinema and then see which DVD is less cut.

12A certificate

The film has been passed 12A and unlike several recent cinema releases which were cut (Charlies Angels Full Throttle, 2 Fast " Furious, Daredevil etc) no cuts have been made to Terminator 3. It must be really tame in the violence department which is going to give it much less of an impact than the first few films. We all know how bad the response was when Seagal went into PG-13 territory, it just didn't work as well.

Yeah, I couldn't believe it when I saw that Terminator 3 was a 12A, and UNCUT. I know the BBFC have got a bit slack recently but to make a US R rated film a 12A, something is going wrong.

When you think abaout it though, terminator 2 was a 15, a lot less violence than the 1st film, (ARNOLD DIDN'T KILL ANYONE).

In my opinion, if Terminator 2 came out today, it would border on a 12A certificate.

It probablaly got an R in the USA for showing an arse of something when the terminators beam in, thats all it takes.

I'm lstill ooking foward to it

well its still pg or 17 a here, and youget a cool ticket whenyou go.
I saw it, not as bad as I thought.
And what the hell kind of gov. does england have tocut films?
