Just had a little chat with Daniel Zirilli. He told me Steven has NOT a cameo in the movie but has a major role. There is no trailer out yet. Daniel Zirilli is very happy with the final outcome and will keep me informed.

Michael Jai White on twitter about Seagal / Asian Connection:

@MichaelJaiWhite is it true you have a movie with seagal coming out soon?

Michael Jai White: Yup. No scenes 2gether. He was supposed to do "Cops & Robbers" with me but hates me 4 some reason.#noF'sgiven :)

Seems like another cameo part for Seagal. I'm not going to sit through another movie that I dont like just to see Seagal in 2 - 3 scenes. No thanks.

This must be the trailer for the distribution market and not the official, by the way.

Looks very low budget like Perfect Weapon, but the locations are obviously nicer, a good change of scenery from Romania and dark small rooms.

No audio mix or color correction done. That one scene had very bad audio, I wonder if they'll use it as is or if they'll dub it with some other guy doing Seagal's lines?

Very happy to see no doubles, Seagal is out of the shadows, and even the camera angles are a bit better than usually, they didn't go crazy with the super high angles that are supposed to hide his double chin.

That being said Seagal looks as big as ever, but does seem more motivated. I think these shorter gigs where he gets to play the bad guy must be fun for him after almost 30 years of playing the lead. And less work obviously.

I'm still waiting to see a movie where he plays a bad guy or even a good guy who gets legitimately killed. In Executive Decsion he died in a heroic way, and in Machete he insisted on killing himself like some bad ass warrior.
It would be a change to see him die from just being shot or beaten to death. But would his ego allow for that?

I think it looks good. The only problem I have with it is that the other actors seems to boring to be able to keep the movie going when Seagal is not on screen.

Youtube version.

It doesn't look good to me at all. Extremely low budget, poor fx's (I mean no muzzle flash when shooting guns.....), louzy acting. the only part i liked was Seagal seems to be putting in some effort.

peace

Yep I had a chat with Daniel last weekend and he is NOT happy that this trailer came out. It was a trailer for internal use and not for the public. He said he is trying to take it down.

This also happened with Code Of Honor. It seems that a lot of these unfinished trailers pop up on vimeo.

In today's electronic world, stuff like this is always leaked, before a finished trailer is ready. While it may seem cool to see an advanced look, one must remember it is usually some kind of in house work print, or a special reel for investors or buyers, hence things like incomplete sound, f/x, etc.
