over you, He believes in you too, Storm.
I'm doing A-OK! Trust that you are the same.

The Bible is not a work of fiction. It is not fantasy.
Those who believe that cannot disprove it so they
try to find ways to condemn it.
The Bible survives while the nay sayers are dead!
It will continue long after the likes of this current
world are long forgotten.

Jesus speaks to Philip...
The book of John
14:8 Philip said, "Lord, show us the Father and that will be enough for us."
14:9 Jesus answered: "Don't you know Me, Philip, even after I have been among you such a long time? Anyone who has seen Me has seen the Father. How can you say, 'Show us the Father'?
14:10 Don't you believe that I am in the Father, and that the Father is in Me? The words I say to you are not just My own. Rather, it is the Father, living in Me, who is doing His work.

No one took His life from Him, He gave it, willingly! He did that for all of us.
May God bless,
Mama san

I think it's interesting that this thread has remained so polite and courteous. In my experience, religious-themed threads usually devolve into a screaming match between atheists and Christians, but everyone here has managed to be quite pleasant about it. There was even an atheist (purplelotus1) who made a point of not getting into his beliefs because he didn't want to offend anybody. It's not often that I see that kind of consideration on an internet forum.

So, why do you think it is that a forum dedicated to a butt-kicking action star can remain so civil when discussing a topic that sends so many people into fits of rage? Do Seagal's films just attract a naturally mellow audience?

There's an article called The God Fuse (some harsh language) which has been making the rounds on a few atheist forums. It's been the subject of some rather heated debate, which is ironic considering that the entire point of the article is that religious debate doesn't need to be a series of shouting matches. I can't help wondering what members of a less confrontational forum (such as this one) would have to say about the article.

Mind is a mirror, I am not quite sure that I am an atheist. I think maybe giving me a title may have been a little too advanced at this point. I was told as a child that there is a supreme God. I also had the advantage of learning of different belief systems that encourage the relationship of many Gods. So who knows what is correct. I venture to say that it is possible that I may be an atheist but as I stated before that would have to be a decision made based on tons more study. Thank you for you kind post. Pur

Sorry about that. I just assumed from the nature of your post that you were an atheist. My bad.

No apology

Mr. Mind, No apology necessary. I lean more toward energy rather social beliefs. But like I said before I have to study more. Nice to meet you Mr. Mind. Pur

Matthew 7:24-25
"Therefore everyone who hears these words of mine and puts them into practice is like a wise man who builds his house on the rock. The rain came down, the streams rose, and the winds blew and beat against that house; yet it did not fall, because it had its foundation on the rock."

Ephesians 4:13-14
"...until we all reach unity in the faith and in the knowledge of the Son of God and become mature, attaining to the whole measure of the fullness of Christ. Then we will no longer be infants, tossed back and forth by the waves, and blown here and there by every wind of teaching and by the cunning and craftiness of men in their deceitful scheming."
