IMDB has "The Foreigner" listed as #78 on it's bottom 100 films off all time. This is worse than it may sound, mainly because most of the others on the list are theatrical releases. This means that potentially all of Seagal's DTV could find a place on the list in the near future, because they are not considered as good as theatrical released movies.

It wasn't half as bad as made out to be. I enjoyed it. I wonder if the European setting put off US audiences? Seagal does get unfair stick from all quarters it seems.

I really liked Belly of the Beast, it was far better than The Foreigner and Out For a Kill combined, two films which had so many bad things about them I can't even be bothered listing them anymore.

Belly of the Beast had great fights, great music, a decent AMERICAN cast, some good twists, a touch of voodoo, Oriental girls getting naked, a superb gun-fight, great camerawork and top-notch action scenes.

Out For a Kill had awful acting, even worse script, too many foreign cast members who can hardly speak english, extremely bad editing, poor blue screen, no logic, no flow to it, nothing except perhaps the sword-fight to redeem it.

The Foreigner had awful acting, even worse script, too many foreign cast members who can hardly speak english, extremely bad editing, no logic, no flow to it, nothing except perhaps the train station explosion to redeem it.

Belly of the Beast was so much better than both combined. Hopefully Out of Reach will live up to at least that film when I receive it in the next few days.
Steve do you remember the black CIA guy in BOTB? It was none other than Patrick Robinson, from UK hospital drama Casualty (i think!:D).I know the quality of his movies is down, but as long as he makes them i'll buy them.

In my opinion as a movie as a whole I liked the Foreigner better than Belly Of The Beast and Out For A Kill. However I loved the fight scenes in Out For A Kill, without the fight scenes in OFAK it would have been a terrible film.

No, Storm, I don't think that's it. Actually, I prefer the European setting to an American. (i.e. I can't imagine the Bourne series in an American setting...)
