The Getting to Know you Thread (part 3)

Oh! no! maybe it's time to go for a visit with someone inland....We have had a lot of rain today. We are just at flood stage already. We are preparing for the possibility of power outages. Stocking up on gasoline for the generator, batteries, filling our emergency water container (tomorrow), and making sure that anything in the yard that can blow away is put away. We even put the pool cover on the pool early. Lot's more to do...If it comes up the Chesapeake like the one storm model has it, we will have to move my daugther out of the upstairs and pack her stuff in the garage until after the storm...(we have 3-80 ft Pin Oaks close to the house). We will do what we can to prepare. This might turn out to be another "Agnus" (1972). Yes, I'm old enough to remember. Wish all is well....just keep yourself safe....and evacuate if you need to.

I shall put you all in my prayers that when this has passed through you all come out of it with out too much damage to homes and lives ...iam keeping an close eye on it as the news is showing it every day and its an category 4 they say now shiver me timbers they showed how big it is from space one big mother alright i hope its not another Katrina that was heart breaking enough ...be safe friends ...

Thanks, ORang- almost ready....my daughter thinks I'm nuts...lol...I gave everyone a to do list before I left for work today....more yard work to do yet when I get home.....need to move all the chickens into one coup, fill water container for drinking water, and containers for the toilet.....lots to do ....I'm sure we'll be fine because we've prepared too well....my daughter stated that she is going to laugh her butt off if it goes out to sea.....I say better to over prepare than prepare too little....remember Katrina....

An friend this afternoon had to put her beloved blue heeler to sleep his name was smokey an good age 12 he was ..oh how hard that is to do ...what really has freaked me out is that my cat died 5 months ago today on the 27th March were her dog passed today on the 27th August how starnge is that both our beloved pets passed on the same date ...iam not an real dog lover never have been since when nearly killed me many years ago BUT this dog was an gentle boy he would lick you to death...sad thing is that her two sons were with there dad he has them every two weeks over an weekend ..even my friends ex was upset ...and my friends cat is missing the dog they were good mates ...

AWE, that's so sad....On another note Irene has passed and thank God I don't live in North Carolina. They got slammed. We're still here, and all its well. Just a bit of cleanup. The air quality today is amazing. Now if people will stay off the roads and not polute it up again....yeah! right! Barbara- how did you make out up in RI? Hope everything is well.

We had alot of wind....we actually never did lose power. We lost cable, internet and phone for about 5 hours....and that was it. Was a little bummed, because on the episode of Jersey Shore that aired last night, Mike "The Situation" gets knocked out....and they played it at 7pm last night, well before TV came back on at 11:30...but, the good thing is, they re-play Jersey Shore, like 9000 times during the week....

I know, I know, I DON'T want to watch Jersey Shore, but it's like a train wreck. I WANT to look away....but I can't........

Ok it always freaks me out when some thing goes wrong with this body of mine any way make an long story short i have one too many falls i guess i have an bruised lung and also an hairline fracture to an rib just like this funky munky NOT to do things in halves for once iam going to listen to my doctor as he says the next fall could

Iam abit blurry eyed tonight so no writting tonight i was at the hospital at Noarlunga till 4am this morning as an friend of whom is older then me had her first and last baby ..an little girl Anna Louise and what an head of her she was born with takes after her mum an red head my friend didnt have any pain killers she said she wanted to feel the pain of childbirth as it wont happen again and she didnt have an C-SECTION she said she went through nine months of swollen feet etc no way was she whimping out ...she did well her bloke was there about ten years younger then her but an all round good guy...so iam all whacked out ..

I heard an couple weeks back that americans think us aussies are an country full of 'blondes' ? is that right well i would rather be an country full of 'blondes' then an country full of 'dumb and dumberer' after what i heard this morning i thought NASA were intelligent ..yep like an flea they have lost track in other words no bloody idea were this old satelite is coming down now ya think that when they sent the satelite up they would have put an tracking device on it so that they would know where it is ..any ways NASA says that they dont know where or when its coming down (wankers) and when and if any one finds an piece DONT touch it as it may have an space germs ( pissing myself laughing) but DONT touch it as it may have SHARP edges ..oh my god!!! i so needed an laugh ....

Iam totally disgusted and gutted saw on the news tonight that cops had to shoot animals that were let loose because of some male whom let them loose havent the cops heard of tranqualisers ?? shoting Bengal Tigers my god !!!! not to mention all those other animals ..typical cops only would have taken an little while to get some vets in or rangers to knock the animals out ...this world is losing enough of its animals doesnt need drop kick cops helping it along...wtf???
