I have it, but from the back it looks like run time is 97 minutes. Think it has some special features such as a 'making of'.

Thanks....I was just curious as to what would have been added to it....below is cut & pasted from part I read it...
----
'........For this book I was actually able to correspond with mink, who it turns out is a Seagalogist in his own right. He described Seagal as “a John Wayne amongst WB tv actors” and pointed me toward many details he’d thrown in like the huge photo of the jet from Executive Decision hanging in Block’s office in the beginning. He also made a convincing case for Into the Sun being the best of the DTV Era. In fact, he considers the DTV label somewhat inaccurate since it was funded by Sony Japan and played theatrically in Japan with a better poster and lots of promotion, ranging from TV spots to Into the Sun boxer shorts. In other words, it’s Seagal’s first Japanese film, which explains why the American DVD is bare-bones but the Japanese one is an 8-minute longer director’s cut with extras............'

If I had to rate all of Waxman and Seagal's films I'd have to rate this their 5th best outing together

1st being The Keeper
2nd being Force of Execution
3rd being A Dangerous Man
4th being Maximum Conviction
5th being Mercenary: Absolution
6th being: A Good Man

but none are terrible films all enjoyable action fests!!

lol......you're talking about changing the 'firmware' on the chip in the DVD player....I thought it was funny 'cause you mentioned something about 'firmware' in a previous post.

I don't have it but the Japanese ONLY DVD of 'Into The Sun' is supposed to be 8mts. longer than any other DVD release of it(Seagology).....was wondering if anyone could shed some light on that...does anyone own a Japanese version of it?
Thanks for Info!
I just ordered the japanese version of Into the Sun on yesasia.com. will get the dvd in about 2 weeks. I hope there will be more fightscenes in this version.

A lot of activity happened during my absence. I wish I had the time to comment every new development : (

But short on this: I own the Japanese DVD of "Into the Sun" for a quite time, and I hate to dissappoint. The movie is exact the one you can watch all over the world.
In comparison to all other releases, the Japanese DVD features NO Japanese dub for this release + a making report in Japanese along with the Japanese actors.

Somehow Vern made a mistake or he was lucky to own a not official released director's cut, like Ticker.

Back to Into the Sun:
the making of feature is very interesting, because the Japanese actors are honest in their opinion. They enjoyed the shooting.

Before Absolution, they showed ALL the trailers for the major upcoming movies! The movie theater showed the trailers for: The Last Witch Hunter (Vin Diesel), Jurassic World, Batman v. Superman, Mission Impossible 5, and South Paw (Jake Gyllenhaal). Great company for Steven Seagal to be included with!!! Go Steven!! & Byron Mann too!

Were there a lot of people watching the movie?

Anyone knows how the movie is doing at cinema?
