Name the Ninja movie that still sticks in your mind.

American Ninja.

The Master/The ninja Master.

Ninja 3 The Domination.

I never got to see the movie called The Black Ninja. I think it was just a rename of Ninja 3 The Domination, couse it was surpose to have the same beginning.

Oh yeah, the ninja movies...

AMERICAN NINJA 1 & 2 were the coolest movies when I was growing up. Michael Dudikoff really did great job in the martial arts fights even though he hadn't any previous background in that area.
The sequels didn't quite make it, I think. David Bradley was clearly better martial artist than Dudikoff, but didn't have the charisma. Also the plots in AN 3, 4 and 5 were a bit too cheesy for my taste.

REVENGE OF THE NINJA is also one of the better ninja -movies. Sho Kosugi's best in my opinion. The poster for this one was just plain neat! Black suited ninja ready to throw a shuriken against a red blood sky...oh man, oh man...

But NINJA IN THE DRAGON'S DEN is my absolute favorite. Made in Hong Kong as a HK/Japanese jointproduction. Starring Hiroyuki Sanada (from Tom Cruise's Last Samurai) and Conan Lee, this movie really blew my mind back in 1987. Also sparked my interest for martial arts movies for good.

Good stuff.

I have considdered buying NINJA IN THE DRAGON'S DEN a few times but I didnt knew how mutch Ninja stuff there was in it. Many of the old movies only has ninjas in the beginning, and some movies was even given a title with Ninja in it and didnt even have ninjas in it so I'm a bit alert when it comes to old ninja movies. Unless they have images of Ninjas on the back of the cover I'm not buying them. :D :D

I'm still waiting for Ninja 3 The Domination to be released on dvd. I have American Ninja 1,2 & 3 on dvd & 4, 5 on vhs. I allso have the Master on dvd the first 2 episodes.

Revenge Of The Ninja cover:

Sho Kosugi is deffenetly brilliant as a Ninja... and a brilliant martial artist. I loved his part in The Master, allthough it was verry small.

Allso...I would like to see a final American Ninja with Michael Dudikoff and Steve James, allthough I am sure it will never happen.. :indiffere :indiffere

It would've been awesome to see Michael Dudikoff & Steve James in the final American Ninja installment. The fifth movie was a total stink bomb and a disgrace to the whole series.
It was such a shame that Steve James passed away - he was one of the most profilic african american action stars since the 70's. No one else could've filled Sgt. Jackson's shoes better than him.

I still think that Sho Kosugi's best work is Ninja 3 The Domination, and Master Ninja aka The Master. Allthogh his parts in The Master series is small it is still one of his best charecters .. he shows up in one or two scenes in every episode as John Peter McAllister's (Lee Van Cleef) old student, & now nemisis. His ninja outfit in The Master is awesome, check out his ninja mask in the photos below, it is an verry special design. ;)

Sho Kosugi to Return as The Ninja!

Sho Kosugi to Return as The Ninja!

Sho Kosugi, who toplined a series of ninja films that began with "Enter the Ninja," is returning for a tail-kicking encore.
Kosugi will reprise his role in "The Return of the Ninja," a film being scripted by Steven de Souza ("Die Hard," "Lara Croft Tomb Raider: The Cradle of Life""Lara Croft Tomb Raider: The Cradle Of Life"). Kosugi will play the last ninja master, who travels to the U.S. to find the American heir to the stealth martial arts legacy.

Pic will be produced by Kevin Foster of Amazing Grace Films. Foster said a group of Japanese investors are financing development and will bankroll 60% of the project's $35 million budget. Kosugi divides his time between Tokyo and Hollywood, where he runs several martial arts studios.

Foster said the ninja pic will correct the Hollywood misperception that the masked men in black pajamas are bad guys. Historically, they were viewed as Robin Hood types.
