The Punisher

Hi everyone,

Just saw the new version of "The Punisher" starring Thomas Jane (or Tom Jane as he's called in Australia) and John Travolta. The movie was OK, but it could have been a lot better. At the end of the day, I gotta say that the Dolph Lundgren movie was better than the 2004 version.

Has anyone else seen it? What do you think?

I 've not seen it yet, but i DID like the LUNGREN version, a lot. Is the movie violent, or have they tried to get away with a (sell-out) PG13 rating?

That's the stupid thing about this new movie. Some of it is very violent (a knife gets put through a man's chin and pops out his mouth, stabbing him through the roof of his mouth!), while other bits of violence, like the slaughter of the Castle family, are very restrained (most of the people shot simply fall over without blood squibs).

All in all it was okay, but for the talent involved it should have been better.
