Thread as "read" rather than vanishing

Craig, this has been bugging me for a while - since last year's upgrade, in fact!

Everytime I go to new posts and then choose a thread to look at, once I'm finished with the thread and return to new posts, the thread's gone from the list (instead of just showing it as "read", i.e., not bolded).

Sometimes I want to go back to the same thread during the same session, but unless I write down which threads I've visited, I can't.

Is there some setting I can change for this, or is it a "feature" of the upgrade?

Yes it is a feature now. I thought members could change it to suit themselves in their user-cp, but it is not possible.

Maybe in future versions...

Craig,
this new thread deleter is a bit irritating, because i do write some thought provoking threads concerning Seagal's movie conquerings
Hope you're not erasing my threads 'because they tend to irritate your viewings' ???
But, this is your site, so i guess i gotta' roll with the flow
Sigh

Don your threads were removed because they were mainly posted to stir up trouble.
