Suddenly no news about General Commander anymore........I hope this doesn't have to do anything with those allegations.

I am seriously wondering if something is wrong and if production has stopped.
Suddenly there is no info anymore and nothing to be found on social media. It is also possible that everything is wrapped. I will try to get this confirmed.....

Instead director Phillipe Martinez announced a new movie / series (also from Saradan).

I checked my source regarding General Commander.

All I can say is that the production company will make an announcement soon....

I was thinking......No way they shot all the episodes. The trailer we had was about the first 2 episodes. When the info stopped they were filming episodes 3 and 4......So something must be wrong.....

First thought is that the plug has been pulled on this series....but I will wait for your information from the production company. The announcement from the company about a new series may bee coincidence, however, it may also be a replacement for CM if it has, indeed, been cancelled. Interested to find out soon....

Right now Seagal is in Florida, Miami. So he is not in Manila shooting General Commander.

If it is cancelled then so be it.. I'm not that thrilled about it being made In the first place..

Possibly they will try and sell the first couple of episodes as a pilot first to see if they are a success before spending more money on the rest of the series.

If they have an announcement then it doesn't sound too good for it though..

I wouldn't be surprised if this new 'ROMAN NINE' show was cobbled together utilizing whatever footage they'd already shot for 'GENERAL COMMANDER.....Because I find it hard to believe that they'd pull the plug on one show....with (at very least) a 'name' star attached to it.....and yet go ahead and make something similar without any star (according to the poster?)

I agree, but I think Administrator could be right. First they see how the first 2 episodes will do, before shooting the rest.

From John Healy and Ron Balicki

Ron Balicki travelled to Istanbull yesterday and Healy and Balicki are both involved with the production of General Commander. And there was an announcement recently that they were going to film some scenes in Istanbul, so I guess everything is still rolling....:)

Since the shooting schedule for the entirety of the series was announced as up to nine months, it's conceivable they break several times to give the principals some time off while the production company plans the locations and schedules to shoot the next several shows.

If I'm correct it was 4 months...but it doesn't matter. I guess they are back on track and you are right about the break times.

I just checked the website of Saradan Media and General Commander has moved from the status "In Production"to "Selling". So this one is not in production anymore. My feeling is that they turn the first 2 episodes they filmed into 1 movie. Or it's possible that make a pilot of all the footage that has been shot to see how it is received.

It will be interesting to see what the true status of this series is...if they have made the choice to make only 1 movie and not sell the series, then that means Seagal is now free to pursue other projects. Any information on what else he may be working on? Thanks.

I have been in contact with one of the actors. He couldn't tell me anything (due to contract obligations), but he told me that the production company will make an announcement soon regarding General Commander.

Personally I wouldn't mind it if they make 1 movie out of the 1st 2 epsiodes. I'd rather see Seagal doing a new movie then a TV series. Look at what happened with True Justice. It wasn't that good. He needs to stick to projects he really enjoyes doing, like Attrition for example. It also fits his age and interest.
