I Saw Until Death yesterday. I must say this is the best Van Damme movie since Wake of Death. He did a very good job playing the drug-addict-cop. The movie wasn`t that bloody as Wake of Death was. But there was enough violence going on to make me jump a few times from my sofa.

We get: a few bloody head-shots, bloody gunshot-wounds, a shot of hand (nice one!) and a few blood-splatters here and there.

But this movie wasn`t only about the blood. For me Van Damme gives the best performance in his movie-career.

Van Damme keep on the good work!!

I give this movie 8 out of 10 head-shots.

Yes have seen the first half of the movie. Van Damme certainly has a good performance, but unfortunately the other actors in the movie are pretty dreadful.

The action consisted of a few shootouts which were pretty well shot.

I've seen the movie too and I must say Van damme did a great job. Until Death is a very cool, dark and gritty movie. I really liked it!

I thought his performance was pretty solid.
Who ever thought that Van Damme could outstage Stephen Rea in a movie?

My only 2 negative points are 1. Rea, it was very clear he only did this to earn a quick buck. 2. The ending, (Be aware spoiler coming) Van Damme played such a bad character, and after his coma he became somewhat a different character, but at the same time not. Inside he clearly stayed that bad character. So in the end it was only normal for him to die along with Rea.

But no, this is Hollywood, they need happy endings, even if it doesn't suit the movie. nah, this ending doesn't make any sense.

Van Damme is in Cannes to anounce his upcoming French movie "Van Dammage/JCVD".
Produced by Gaumont/Columbia TriStar Films, and directed by Mabrouk El Mechri. Shooting will start around October/November in Belgium and probably France.

Van Damme plays himself (sort off) who gets into somesort of trouble inside a bank. the movie will be a mix between Being John Malkovich and Dog Day Afternoon.

He was also in Cannes to promote "The Smashing Machine" which will star Van Damme, Mauricio ‘Shogun’ Rua and Russia’s champion Fedor Emelianenko.
Other fighters will probably anounced soon.

Foresight Unlimited and Signature Pictures' Smashing Man is being directed by Simon Fellows and produced by Moshe Diamant. Van Damme stars alongside some of the biggest names in mixed martial arts in the story of a young champion who helps a has-been return to former glories. Sony Pictures Releasing International has acquired the majority of international territories.

agree despite the fact that its clearly got a bigger budget than seagals last 4-5 films it stillfeels STv to me despite van dammes acting effort.i know im in the minority but i did not care for UD that much and much preferred wake of death.
