Watchmen

Just watched Watchmen and it has the same zany humor in a good ol' Steven Seagal flick loaded with lots of excessive force action and contusions and broken bones

Two Thumbs up

One of my favorite scenes is where Rorschack spills hot scalding cooking grease onto the face of a fellow prison mate ready and about to attack Rorschack with a shiv

I also enjoyed how Watchmen used the special effect wires to make the bodies of the bad persons go flying up against walls, onto the ground, and into hard objects the same way Steven Seagal fight scenes are demonstrated with wires too in a few of his movies

Good stuff !

Yeah D, that is a great movie, I bought it on BluRay. The guy that played Rorschach (Jackie Earl Haley) is playing Freddy Krueger in the new Nightmare on Elm Street.

I'm laughing as I type. Watchmen just makes me laugh everytime I see the fight scenes

Hard thrashing violence gets my funny bone everytime :D Just pure pleasure knowing that someone is creating these outrageous fight sequences with wires and stunt actors is hilarious

I love it when the bad person gets their neck gets broken in one scene, and then only to be kicked in the back after they're dead, and their body goes flying into a brick wall. Too much LOL :D

Hard To Kill
I bought the Ultimate Cut of the film and it's definitely the best version of the film. I'm sure the animated pirate sequences might leave some folks scratching their heads but it makes the film as close as possible to the comic book, which included the same story within a story.

Agreed, adding a bit of cartoon humor into films today helps to make the film not so vilolent, but rather comedic, don't you think? Bodies flying up against hard objects and then sliding off of the hard object down to the ground, LOL

Does the ultimate cut have any more violence than the theatrical cut?

I'm just asking because I loved the fight scenes in Watchmen, but I didn't particularly like the rest of the movie (awkward dialogue, weird musical cues, etc.), so I'd be interested to know if the longer cuts add anything to the action sequences.

There is some more violence in the longer cut...for example, there's an added scene with something that happens to Hollis Mason which I believe wasn't in the theatrical version.

The main difference with the Ultimate version is the integration of animated sequences that mirror the inclusion of the comic book Tales Of The Black Freighter in the graphic novel of Watchmen. This was originally released on DVD as a seperate release but has now been cut back into the film. This makes the Ultimate cut the most faithful adaptation of the comic book.

Loved watchmen. Need to watch it a few more times, but it was one of my highlights last year. I got the t-shirt but couldn't get the actual comic, every where i checked it was sold out :(

Gotta' say....pretty risque too have the Blue man's "THING" hanging out in plain sight FOR ALL THE WORLD TO SEE in that film too. I wonder how they pulled that one off for a PG rated film? :D

BLUE PENIS! its so wrong that's all i can remember from the film. I suppose because it's not sexually hanging out, that's how they got away with it. He could crush a building with that monster :p
