Hi, dear people. I will introduce myself. I'm apologize for my English, I know it's far distant to be good.
First, I live in Havana, Cuba.
Yeah, yeah. I know that when someone says 'Cuba' everybody thinks about a very well known man and a very famous social system. But for my own interest I won't talk very much about politics here. I just want to say that in my country there are certainly 'some persons', but there are too many more common, beautiful and good persons. A country is the PEOPLE.
And as I am from the people, I will speak now just about me. (Uff... what a tiresome introduction!).
Well, I am almost 35, male. Since childhood I had to face extreme violence on the streets, and therefore I spent half of my life learning fighting sports, martial arts, self defense and street tricks. I have high degree in Aikido, although I don't practice it anymore because now I am applying for a good job (I am graduated from Philology) and I need to study a lot. But on my free times, (that are certainly very scarce) I teach some self defense to children, just to stay fit.
I like reading, and to have as many friends as I can get. This is why I feel so happy to be on this Web site with you, guys. And the people that I have meet on the chat are fabulous. All of them.
I saw almost all Seagal's films, and I liked very much 'Out for killing' and 'Into the Sun'. But 'Under Siege I', 'Out for Justice' and 'Hard to die' (are they well written in English?) are more dear to me. Maybe because those old movies inspired me to start practicing Aikido, an art that has gave me too much as a person.
By the way, although Seagal is my number one man, nevertheless my favorite film is 'Gladiator' from Russell Crowe, and too 'Saviour' by Dennis Quaid.
Well, you will fall asleep if I keep writing. I'll just say that in my country, after Bruce Lee, the more chased by the people movies are Seagal's.
Ah... I almost forget it. I like spirituality a lot, specially the Eastern one. Precisely some minutes ago I was reading the 'Tao Te King'.
That's all friends. I love you all and let God bless you always.
Douglas
¡Good luck!
