Somebody in the apartment building next door liked grunge, and I was bombarded with it all summer a few years ago. It DID drive me crazy. That, and the other family that played the Soviet national anthem about a dozen times a day (sometimes consecutively) so loudly it made the dishes in my cupboard jump.

-TD, who retaliated by playing Star Wars and Beethoven's Ninth Symphony, but to no avail

Maybe that's because for me the lyrics are kind of true to life...

remember that movie The Hunt for Red October, I loved it because they played the anthem and reminded me of the good old times :=)

By good old times I didn't mean being under constant alert for threats.
I just meant that it was better when we all were together as one (the great, the only ... and unfortunately the former ... USSR)
