What he's got, they ain't got!

Steven Seagal has the confirmed attractability to give fans what they want. Just as did 'one-time high-ranking actors such as John Wayne and Clint Eastwood did in their hay-days of reigning in action/tough guy roles filmdom. Fellow performers do their best to portray tough guy roles in todays movies, but they sorely lack the affirmability to back the onscreen characters they've been given or create along with their scripts-which results in "unconvincing and no depth" performances everytime i see one of thier movies on dvd or the big screen in movie theaters. Pastly and presently, in the history of male actors on the earth, Steven Seagal has truly been 'blessed' above all other actors in his time. Funny, i still haven't quite figured out completely what Steven Seagal posseses that other actors don't have?

OMG I love Maximum Risk (1996), it is one of Jean-Claude Van Damme's best. I wish Seagal could work with someone like Ringo Lam.

You are right though ORANGATUANG. Every actor has their own little something that they bring to the screen.

Ringo Lam is a internationally acclaimed action director from Hong Kong. Although his only films made in the US have been the three with Jean-Claude Van Damme, Maximum Risk (1996), Replicant (2001) and In Hell (2003), he had previously made many films in Hong Kong. Among the most famous of these is City on Fire (1987), starring Chow Yun Fat which was reworked by Quentin Tarantino into Reservoir Dogs in 1992 and The Twin Dragons (1992) starring Jackie Chan.
It is a shame that the proposed project with Lam never worked out for Seagal. I remember reading about Unleashed and thinking it could be a good project for him. Instead we got Out of Reach (2004), another disappointment.

We all know you like Seagal, but you can over-do the worship sometimes?

Seagal is great at what he does....yes!
But other actors are equally as good at playing tough guys.
Harvey Keitel is a great actor that can exhibit , rage, toughness, weakness and kindness, without having to 'snap' peoples arms. I know you like Seagal, Don, but you can actually stray outside the perameters of the 'action' genre, and watch other stars.
Toughness doesn't always mean 'killing' people?

You kinda answered your own question. Steven is blessed, that's clear for all to see. By that I mean, he's very comfortable with himself. Knows who he is and knows what his abilities are. This guy gets better all the time, in spite of all the nasty little things that get posted about him from time to time. He keeps focused on what he's about. He's a Buddhist and adheres to the principles of that Order. Besides which, the guy's as sexy as hell. Watching him do those fight scenes is sheer poetry in motion!!. He special too because he has such a presence, he commands one's attention. Stunning looks, sex appeal, charisma to mention a few of his qualities, these are what make him head and shoulders above all the rest.
As a matter of fact, post Steven's visit to london during his world tour(which I attended by the way), Ch5 has shown almost all of his movies over here, nice.

i concur lee. I just love 'striing/boiling' the blood of my fellow members once in awhile, LOL. Especially, when they boil/stir my blood with their unrealistic cinematic statements of Steven Seagal's true achievements, which they never have a positive comment on. With their postings, it's always straight to the 'let's type some garbage about Steven Seagal's present health or physical path'. You get my drift lee? Someone's got to stand up for Steven Seagal online for all he's given to us fans.

That is very true lee nicholson. I love action films, but I also love lots of other types of films. These are types of films that don't feature Seagal, but that doesn't mean I support him any less.

I don't think that Seagal really needs you defending him, don. The comments I made further up the post were supposed to be taken in jest. It is a shame that some people are too uptight and too obsessed with Seagal to see that. If I ever comment on Seagal's health or weight I always try to do so in the context of his films and not as a point on it's own. In fact I don't think there is anyone on this board who brings it up just for the sake of it?

marky96,
wanna thank you for clarifying your present and past threads and postings of Steven Seagal's health. It's not often that members in here clarify whether or not they really mean what they thread and post about Steven Seagal's health.

I think that might be because it shouldn't really need clarification, don. This is after all a Steven Seagal fan site?

Have been unpacking after a house shift and have no TV etc for a few nights so have been watching Steven's films again. Yep, he has that silky voice that gets me every time!!! Actually, his stories are not bad ones - I've seen a lot of other stars who are only in the movie because of their big name and the stories are utter rot.
