Well I am glad that someone has made the point that these allegations and rumors about Seagal have been going on for many years. I doubt very much though that he will gain anything from the trial, as a lot of sordid details, including his 'unique physiological reaction' to sexual arousal, will probably be aired in public. I wish both Kayden Nguyen and Seagal luck as one of them is clearly lying.

I wonder if a 'publicity stunt' is apart of this? Publicity stunts have been apart of Hollywood's sales and marketing history in tabloids

Would not think it was a publicity stunt on Steven Seagals part. He has no positive results from these allegations.

I cannot see why anybody would do something like this as a publicity stunt. I wonder whether or not with all the speculation that we have been writing if we being just as bad as the tabloid writers. Personally, I'm would rather come to this site and read about the other things that everyone has to say about Steven. I do know that everyone of us must be shocked by this news. I feel that we should be trying to make sure that we don't get hung up on the subject and let everthing pan out on it's own and do what we do best ....be a Steven Seagal fan.

I agree, there is nothing positive for to come from this for Seagal. It is not even like he has something new to promote. Steven Seagal: Lawman has finished its first season, done well and been renewed for a (now aborted) second season, and Machete (2010) is more of an ensemble film which will be sold on those stars with more of a role than Seagal.

OOPS

I meant the publicity stunt was on the part of Hollywood tabloids and Nguyen's parts to see what the reaction would be of others

My apologies my comrades

It could well be but I feel again like there were bigger celebrities with a more wholesome image who they could target. For example someone who had not been married multiple times or have rumors of sexual impropriety in their past? Then again perhaps someone didn't like the fact that someone with a reputation like Seagals was making out they were a officer of the law and a good role model to others?

Excellent deduction marky ! Excellent! I'm certain that the revealing of Steven Seagal's law enforcement is ruffling alot of feathers in Hollywood and anywhere he may be empowered by law enforcement he decides to travel to

Good Man

I like how Steven stays out of the spotlight in Hollywood. I respect that. There are so many drugged up, cheating, lying, no good people who will do whatever is in their reach to get ahead out there. A member of my family works in the movie business out there, and boy do I hear some stories. I heard Steven on several occasions state that he didn't get to where he is by lying, cheating, doing drugs, etc.....and man do respect that. It seems like good ole' tarnished Hollywood has it out for him, which doesn't surprise me, as he has on several occasions stood up for what he believes it right, which has rubbed alot of people in Hollywood the wrong way - Jules Nasso?? HA. I have also seen him on several occasions stating that it is important to always do your best, and respect those around you. I think he is a stand up guy. And Jenny McArthy? #1 - that was in 1998, when she had no real career going, and she acts all shocked about these alleged comments by Steven about taking her dress off? Which, mind you, her dress fell off waaaay to easily in Playboy, yet she cried and cried about the thought of getting nude. Gimme a break. Good luck Stevie!

People: More allegation emerge of Steven Seagal harassing women

Zen bruiser Steven Seagal, charged in a new lawsuit with harassment and sexual trafficking, has been accused numerous times in the past 12 years of inappropriate conduct toward women, reports said Friday.

Actress and model Jenny McCarthy told Movieline in a 1998 interview that the action movie star ordered her to strip during an audition for "Under Siege 2."

"I go inside (Seagal's) office, which has shag carpet and this huge couch, and he's by himself and says, 'Sit on my couch,' " McCarthy, now 37, said in the interview, unearthed this week by CBS News. "He says, 'So, you were Playmate of the Year?' Then he said, 'Take off your dress.' I just started crying and said, 'Rent my Playboy video, you (expletive)!' and ran out to the car."

McCarthy on Thursday confirmed to MSNBC that she had made the statements to Movieline but offered no further comment.

Also uncovered this week was a 1998 Penthouse magazine in which nine women detailed allegations of improper conduct by Seagal. And Reuters reported that Seagal was accused in a 2001 lawsuit of making "inappropriate comments and actions" toward Patricia Nichols during a recording project. Seagal claimed the suit was a "shakedown." The jury in the case determined Seagal had slandered the woman, Reuters reported, but he was not ordered to pay damages.

Kayden Nguyen, a 23-year-old former model, sued Seagal this week claiming he assaulted her several times and made her take

"illegal pills" while she was employed on his "Steven Seagal Lawman" reality program, the title of which now carries a heavy whiff of irony. Seagal has denied the charges and says Nguyen is just retaliating against him for firing her from the show.

Like you say this is nothing new. I'm afraid there have been alegations surrouding Seagal dating back to his harassment of Julianna Margulies on the set of Out for Justice in 1991. It looks like this time however, that the case might go all the way.

All the blind adoration is kind of disturbing. Seagal is far from the greatest man on the planet. He's supremely egotistical, a serial cheater, and there have been rumors of his sexually inappropriateness for years.

However, the fact that this most recent case is being handled not criminally, but through civil court makes me wonder if the Prosecutor's Office even looked at it. If they did, why did they choose not to file charges? Was it blatant BS, or did they feel there wasn't enough evidence to make the charges stick?

My guess is there is a sliver of truth to the allegations. It would not surprise me to learn that, in fact, Seagal acted inappropriately towards her. However, Russian sex slaves and human trafficking sound a bit far fetched. But who knows, he does film in far off locales and certainly could have made the connections...

In regard to the Jenny McCarthy incident. Seagal asked a Playboy playmate to take off her dress, for a role that involved taking off a dress?

Actually Jenny McCarthy, then 23, was auditioning for the role of Sarah Ryback, the daughter of Seagal's character Casey Ryback, so I doubt that she was going to be stripping off on screen. The script was later changed and the character of Sarah Ryback made slightly younger, hence the casting of 17 year old Katherine Heigl.

That is not true!!!!

Jenny McCarthy did the audition for the train assistant who was later played by a famous model called Sandra Taylor.

Taylor was shot in the knee(in the movie) by main villain Everett ......

Jenny McCarthy didn´t audition fpr the Katherine Heigl role!!!

Well no matter what role she auditioned for, Seagal still treated her appallingly.

I wonder if she cried when she took off her clothes for Playboy...man, that had to be tough.

Her word against Stevens though, so we still (like with all of these issues) don't REALLY know if ANYONE was treated unfairly. Anyhoo, I am going to refrain from commenting anymore on this stuff. I'll just keep on top of the stories via the internet. I am still a huge Seagal fan, and from MY impression of him, he's great. Good action star, a very caring - charitable individual, who is also a cop in Jefferson Parrish. Good luck Steve. And if you do read these threads, all apologies for the haters/slammers.
