Who Was Your First Idol?

I Belong To Steven
We all know that Steven is my idol for eternity, but when I was a little girl I really liked Cher...
Well, who woulda thought...
I think she's a tramp now...

My first idol was Michael Jackson, than Bruce Lee, than Prince, than Steven Seagal and Rickson Gracie.

Robert Englund was my first real idol. As a horrorloving teen-ager I watched "Terror on Elmstreet" and I was hooked.
For some reason I also thought Rosanne was the funniest women alive. I still think she's kind of funny.

When I was around 10 my sister worked at a Texacostation and they had som movies for rent. She rented "Nico- Above the Law" and we watched it and were both amazed over the action and the cool guy playing the leadcaracter. Even today my sister think Steven is the most handsome looking celeb. So do I of course. :p

Today I admire Ted Danson, Sam Neill and Michael Caine also Bette Midler.

But the big guy is still number one. :cook:

I'm almost certain I shouldn't admit this, but... my first idol was Micky Dolenz of the Monkees. Yep, when all the girls were going googly over little Davy Jones, I preferred Micky.

Next up was Laurence Olivier. He's the only celebrity I wrote to from whom I got an answer back - oh, not from him himself, of course, from his private secretary, but it was on his stationery, with (I think) his home address on it! Very exciting.

Jeremy Brett (known this side of the ocean for his role as Sherlock Holmes) - that was mostly because I was a big fan of Sherlock Holmes, and was absolutely gobsmacked that they found an actor that looked EXACTLY the way I'd pictured Holmes in my head.

Sean Connery, in any role EXCEPT James Bond (don't ask me why, except I just don't like the James Bond films, regardless of who plays him).

Maggie Smith - I adore her, I think she's a marvellous actress. In fact, I adored her so much that I even managed to talk my parents into letting me go on an unofficial school trip to Stratford (Ontario) to see her in The Way of the World (and it wasn't until I found the programme for it years later that I discovered the actor playing opposite her was - Jeremy Brett! Arrgggh! But that was before Sherlock Holmes.). (It was an unofficial school trip because we went in cars rather than on a bus, and we went because a lad from our school was a bit player in the play.)

More recently, I took a fancy to Ewan McGregor, who has to have the goofiest, most adorable grin on the face of the earth, not to mention a fine set of family jewels which appear in almost every film he's ever been in except Star Wars (family fare, and all that).... ahem. (TD fans herself)

Gosh, thanks for all the replies...
Actually I had a Cher doll, and I liked her hair most of all...
Of course you know that Steven is not only my idol, he's my darling for life...
Ah, yes...I liked David soul too thought he was handsome...
I used to think blonde hair was nice, but have not had that preference for a long time...
There is something so devastating about Steven, he's so tall, dark and handsome, and mysterious...
I wished I was Wonder Woman when I was about 10 I think it was, she was the biggest idol for me as far as females went...
I had my hair Feathered like farrah too, as did my mom...
I liked Lee Majors in the the six million dollar man...
And loved Star Trek too, Captain Kirk was cool...
I also liked Charlies Angels a lot...
I liked Dukes too, but only John Schneider, not his brother...
I still really admire Lynda Carter though, she's such a unique woman...

Lost without you
My first idol was Elvis, I had my entire room decorated with pictures of him. When we had a school reunion a couple of years ago my teacher told that one of the things he remembered best about me, was that I cried the day Elvis died, I was 13. My second Idol was Dennis Weaver, I had a huge crush on him for a couple of years. When I was 18 I saw Butch Cassidy and Sundance Kid for the first time and Robert Redford really made my heart jump, I saw that movie more than 20 times that summer. Since I saw Above the law in 1990, it has been Steven all the way.
