Your feelings about Belly of the Beast

Hello Steven Seagal fans

I read some Belly of the Beast reviews and it seems that it is a good movie. Some criticals comments indicate that it's a come back of typical Steven Seagal movie (many fight scenes and martial arts atmosphere in the film). What is the feeling of people which have seen the movie?
I hope that the movie will be realeased in France because Out for a kill is not again available in our Country.

It is very good, and he is fantastic, good action packed stunts, awesome and new fighting style, and good supporting cast, plus great scenery and a good plot as well...I enjoyed it very much, and have viewed it many times...You will like it...:)

His best STRAIGHT TO VIDEO release, but still worse than any of his theatrical releases. ON DEADLY GROUND, although first released to cable and not "technically" straight to video was better "put together", but hardly had any fights.

Don't waste your ime on Out For A Kill - tied as his worst, along with TICKER.

Notice Anyone?

Its the first time I saw him dressed down ever he had socks on (must have been relaxed when he answered the door in that one scene) and he had jeans on been around Mark Collie to long (hah ha) but in al the films Ive seen him in this was about as laid back as Ive seen him I thought it was kinda nice actually.

I dont know what kind of necklaces those were with the girls and guys but I thought were unique. My opinion hes trying out different things and maybe thats a good thing. Theyve often said he was hard to work with but if you get to know him (not easy sometimes I admit, hey at least if hes gonna have a temper he warns us.)women anyway.

I agree and I will try to eliminate the wire fu bull in my work, upcoming I prefer he stay more natural more to his Aikido roots, if I tell nice way he may see it that way..depends on his mood. But you were warned Thailand is overcrowded and backwards, Ill try to find a better locale for him, I had nothing to do with this one. But I did overall like it..

Belly is a good movie, but I must stress that the success/failure of his recent pictures seems to rely on the director. If Belly had been directed by Oblowitz or Don Michael Paul I kinda doubt we'd be praising it.

A few years back Van Damme enjoyed brief critical praise for his movie Replicant, directed by Ringo Lam, but he followed that up with the poorly received The Order, and the even more poorly received Derailed. Both movies directed by different people. In November he was praised again for In Hell, which, like Replicant, was directed by Lam, so it seems Seagal, for better or worse like Van Damme, is at the mercy of who gets chosen to direct his movies.

The director of Out Of Reach, Poo-Chih Leung(spelling?) is a director whose work I am unfamiliar with and Unleashed is allegedly going to be directed by Ringo Lam, which should be good, but then after that I've heard Oblowitz is gonna take the helm of Glory. So how long is it before he delivers another Foreigner or Out for a Kill?
Hopefully he won't.

Sorry, no offense to you, jhogan, but why do you say, don't waste your time?
That advice is not very fair, IMO...
daito-ryu fighter is a fan, and as such, he should be able to decide what is good or bad after viewing the film for himself, is he supposed to discount it and never watch it just because you say it's bad?
That is only your opinion...
Not that you aren't entitled to it or anything...
He might like the movie, you never know...
I understand that it might be hard to come by though, since he is in France...
I thought the sword scene was awesome myself, and it was well worth watching just for that alone...
I never knew that ODG wasn't ever in the theater, thanks for the info on that...
I guess I must have been out of the country at the time...
