"On Deadly Ground" in Blu-ray!

Hello! I have been registered in this forum for years, but it is the first time that I write, I do not speak English very well and I have problems to write it, I help myself with a translator.
Today I decided to write to give news. A small movie distributor in my country (Spain), has acquired the rights to the movie "On Deadly Ground", and plans to publish it on Blu-ray very soon, probably in September.
His idea is to edit in Blu-ray several of the films that Steven Seagal starred in the 90s, and if the sales of "On Deadly Ground" work well, then they will also edit films such as "The Glimmer Man" and "Fire Down Below". :)
A few days ago I heard this news and got in touch with them, they have been very kind to me, and they have provided me with some screenshots of the "On Deadly Ground" Blu-ray video, and that I would like to share with all of you:

Features:
Video: MPEG-4 AVC 1920x1080p
Audio: Spanish DTS-HD 5.1, English DTS-HD 5.1, German Dolby Digital 5.1
Subtitles: Spanish, English, German
Additional Teatures: Trailer

I hope you like this news.
I will keep informing. A greeting from Spain! :)

It will not have Arabic subtitles, I'm sorry. :(
It will carry subtitles in Spanish, English and German.
The screen format will be 2.35:1.

The Spanish Blu-ray will be 1920x1080, that is the information that they have given me. ;)
I don't mean to be disrespectful, but the more I thought about it, I think 'they' are pulling your leg with misinformation...
first off the screenshots they sent you are 1280x720(Bluray)
second ...anyone can 'rent' or 'buy' these in HD on iTunes...then simply burn them to a Bluray disk if they wanted to.
Seagal's whole Warner contract is available there as well as a few 'odd ball' other ones(Flight of Fury, Shadowman, The Keeper and even Half Past Dead)
--
Maybe this 'small distributor' is just a guy sitting behind his PC...
if he sells enough On Deadly Ground then he'll do the others?
doesn't sound 'legit' to me...

The screenshots are 1280x720, but the Blu-ray will be in 1920x1080, that's what they told me.
I am simply a fan of Steven Seagal, and I came to write here the information they gave me, the way they will edit the movie, I don't know anymore...

No, I couldn't see him... :(
Hondarribia is in the other part of the country, far from where I live, and on the dates Steven was here I could not leave the job, I would have liked to see him, I hope he will return to Spain one day and have the opportunity to do so. :)

Regarding the Blu-ray edition of On Deady Ground, we will have waiting for new news, I expect a good quality edition of both video and audio, here in Spain all these Seagal movies are not available on any platform (iTunes, Netflix, Amazon...) to watch them dubbed in Spanish in HD quality, everything is DvD quality, that is why for us an edition that improves our old DvD is already great news, when I have more information, I will share it with all of you. ;)

Oh...I didn't know that...I could upload On Deadly Ground 1280x720 to MEGA ....if you can download from there
it's English language tho'
Here in the US we can't get the Bluray disc but we can get the HD versions on-line as I posted which is the same video quality as Bluray.

Spain aired True Justice on TV right?

PS: I've never met or seen Seagal live either:)

Yes, I also downloaded that Mkv file from "On Deadly Ground" in 1280x720. :D
So far, it is the only way to enjoy this movie in HD, but I hope this Blu-ray looks better. Here in Spain, platforms such as Netflix, Amazon, iTunes ... They don't bring Steven Seagal's movies, they prefer other types of movies, more current, or older but different from those that Seagal usually stars. Here in my country, Steven Seagal no longer sells as before, films like "The Keeper", "Maximum Conviction", "A Dangerous Man", Born To Raise Hell ", "Driven To Kill" and some more, have not even arrived in physical format, they have all been released on television, and we fans have not had the possibility to buy them at least on DVD. Personally, to enjoy these movies dubbed in spanish, I had to download all of them in "montages" that many users make and upload to the network, adding to the HD image obtained from some Blu-ray of another country, the sound in spanish tv engraving. I have all these original Blu-ray movies purchased by Amazon or eBay in different countries where there are editions with spanish subtitles added, but it is a shame that I will never be able to have these original Blu-ray with spanish dubbing included.
By the way, yes, like all these films that I am telling you, "True Justice" (and Lawman) were also released in Spain in the same way by spanish tv.

Welcome to the site Scorpio and thanks for the news. :)

Usually the streaming HD versions are not as good as the Blu-ray releases. The bitrate is not of the same quality. This is so the downloaded/streamed file is not very big or it would take some people a long time to watch a movie when their internet connection isn't too good.

I too have the iTunes high definition versions of On Deadly Ground, Fire Down Below, The Glimmer Man, while the quality is decent it is not brilliant so hopefully this will be a better version.

Thank you very much for the welcome. :)

That is what I also expect, a Blu-ray edition that has a good quality, better to the 720p iTunes files that are found to download on the network.
Anyway, spanish fans will be happy with this edition, since as I said above, we do not have these movies dubbed in our language in high definition, we only have our old DvD, so this new edition in Blu-ray will improve by far to all of them. :)

But when you watch his movies dubbed in Spanish you can't hear his unique beautiful voice :D

I like to see them dubbed in my language, but I have also seen them all in original version (with spanish subtitles).
Yes, Seagal's voice is really beautiful, it has unmatched strength and potency! :D

Welcome to the site Scorpio :)

Whilst it's great that this site is getting new members.....I'm highly dubious about these releases......no disrepect to you intended. Unless the guy you've been talking to, has direct links with Warner Brothers (who have sole ownership to these titles) it's highly unlikely these won't be legit (however great/hi-def the quality may be?)
