Other 365 Flix Streaming platform

I take it the winner is not DiDa or yourself?! Better luck next time! :) ;)

The winner was Sharon Melching from Ohio, USA. (She's been showing up in my Facebook feed a lot with her posts after I liked her ATTRITION page thinking it was official) I confess I feel quite jealous, but to be honest I didn't participate. I wrote a review and felt it would undermine the legitimacy of it to slap an affiliate link on it. And apart from that I didn't think I'd be able to influence any of my friends/family, so didn't bother. Good for Sharon!

She posted on Facebook yesterday... "I just got off the phone with the representatives from the Super Fan Contest I am an official winner. I will get to meet Steven Seagal in person in Moscow Russia in December 2018!"

So, the 365flix website has been updated.
They announced their releases for November:

Modigliani (Andy Garcia)
Land Of The Blind (Ralph Fiennes)
The Groomsmen (Brittany Murphy)
The Defender (Dolph Lundgren)
Citizen Verdict (Jerry Springer)
House of 9 (Dennis Hopper)

As you may notice: these are all movies produced by Phillipe Martinez

Thanks DiDa.

So will these films work in the same way as Attrition? Fans of these actors will have to sign up @ 365Flix to be able to watch and order the movie? And also be able to ask them questions the same way that Seagal did?

What do you all think about their forthcoming slate? I'm not sure if I'll be interested in seeing any of those apart from the Dolph Lundgren one.

BTW, I thought General Commander was supposed to be coming out in November? I see it's not in the list. Perhaps its been pushed back to December or maybe even January?

Funny that they're releasing movies that are over a decade year old?
Are they trying to repackage them as new releases?

I'm sure Dolph will probably be up for chatting with his fans, but (and no offence) I can't see either Brittany Murphy or Dennis Hopper doing any live chats....given that they died in 2009, 2010 (respectively)? :(

More importantly, I can't see fans of these actors wanting to pay a platform to watch movies that are (at most recent) 12 years old?
Fine if 365flix want to show new releases like Attrition (which, given the medium involved can't even be generating that much revenue for them)......but this (odd) line-up is baffling?
Surely fans of such movies will already own them?

Damn, I'm somewhat embarrassed now Lee!! How the hell I didn't pick up on these being old movies (and not good movies at that) is anyone's guess LMAO. But my only saving grace is that I did have one Jack Daniels too many earlier! :) ;)

But yes, you're right, who wants to watch/talk about old films (and not good films at that) ? It would certainly be understandable if they are classic, cult or revereved. These aren't unfortunately. Such a weird move (as you quite rightly say) from 365Flix, and one that will surely backfire?

Sigh! I was hoping we might get VIKTOR starring Gérard Depardieu. They stated they were going to release 1 film a month and none of these 6 would fit the bill for an "exclusive" release (as far as I can tell) that will provide fans the chance to chat with one of the stars. So they must have an ace up their sleeve. Mustn't they? Or are they (as it has appeared to date) just winging it?

If they carry on like this they clearly won't last long? One doesn't have to be Sherlock Holmes to work that out. Truly mind boggling.

To be fair, it's understandable that if Phillipe Martinez has sunk money into 365flix, it's his luxury to include a back catologue of such (and let's face it the site needs as many movies as it can get....as it's pointless having a streaming site...with just one movie) :)
What bothers me, is that (unlike a new release, like Attrition) the entire concept behind 365flix is 'pay-per-view' and (without being catty or smug) I can't see people queuing up to rent older releases like this.
So unless these movies are just being added as 'free downloadable ballast' to build a bigger catologue for 365.....then I can't see them making any money, I'm afraid?

I think it's right to say your comment sums up what we are all feeling/thinking. I, for one, would love to hear 365Flix logic behind their bizzare November schedule. Their promise, remember, was that there was supposed to be one new exclusive release a month. An exclusive Q & A with the main star of the film was an other promise. Yet their November slate goes against everything they've said thus far. Go figure.

They'll probably have a new movie in November....I just think that (for a streaming site) they need to have more than just a handful of movies to their catologue? In this 'microwave' age (which I detest btw) the demographic for this kind of 'medium' are a fickle bunch at best. Once they lose interest, they'll move onto other (busier) streaming sites (which could be fatal for rookies such as 365flix?)

Personally, I think there's nothing wrong with Seagal embracing new technology....I just think ATTRITION should have premiered on an 'established' site (rather than a newcomer) I also think that 365Flix should have had a built-in catologue of various titles (new & old) before launching. A fledgling platform that can only offer 1 new movie a month, isn't exactly going to give Sky, Netflix or Amazon sleepless nights, is it?

It just feels like the entire endeavour has been rushed (and ill-thought out)
