A Good Review Of "Half Past Dead" From The U.K

The following is a review by David Quinlen in the TV Times of "Half Past Dead". Readers should note that with the exception of the "Under Siege" films, he normally greats his films with one/two star apathy.

Here goes:

"A pretty entertaining Steven Seagal action thriller, which soon develops into a variation of his "Under Siege" formula. That's when a crack gang of criminals invades New Alcatraz jail from the skies, intent on rescuing a master robber (Bruce Weitz), who has a hidden fortune in gold bullion. When the bad guys, forced to stay on the Rock after a 'copter crash, take a lady judge hostage, the FBI's only hope is prisoner 317 (or whatever) and that's our Steve. Apart from a boring mid-film conversation between the judge and bad guy Morris Chestnut, this is an enjoyable action blast." *** out of *****

Wonders will never cease!
