I see another after shock has hit China..god havent they had enough death and mayhem..i see that they pulled an couple of people out but sadly they died shortly after so sad guess the trauma is just too much...iam sure god will look over all those lost souls..
I you believe in reincarnation then those souls who lost their life in the burmese cyclone and in the Chinese Earthquake may come back to this life to complete what they were doing when tragedy struck.
I heard somewhere that the Hague is calling or deciding whether to call the military junta in burma to answer to war crimes for neglecting their people in their time of need. THousands have died becuase of their politicking. cruel regime. I can't believe they added salt into thewounds by holding elections, trying to show the world they are democratic! As if the world is going to believe it. then they copied china having 3 days of mourning, how shallow!Inope if reincarnation is true they come back as cockroaches.

I heard too that they finally decided to let the aid workers in, but as others here have pointed out, it is too late for some.
On our local news this morning, a high school student has started a children's clothing drive for the little ones in Burma.
Btw, does anyone know why this area is called both Burma and Myanmar, and which which one is better to use??

I see now they have had landslides in China ...whats next?..
The landslides created dangerous lakes that were caused when the water got dammed up. china called on removing 200,000 people to move away from the area as the dam was about to burst, another millionj people nearby were also on the move to be evacuated. apparently the chinese have drained the dam sufficiently now and are waiting to send the inhabitants back. what an effort! Attacking the problem right on where needed, not like the burmese! Of course china still has 5 million bpople who lost their homes but is making every effort to give them shelter while alternative shelter is being looked into. you can say yes, they have billions of people , but look how they mobilised their efforts to give help to the needy, it's absolutely mind blowing when you consider the scale of the operation.
It's heartrending to watch the suffering of the people in the stricken areas.
i pray these displaced and hurt and traumatised peoples are soothed by our prayers and the help of the authorities in humane ways.
