I was curious as to some thoughts on this subject. I have noticed that Seagal wears some very fascinating colors at times and I wonder if he maybe wears them for spiritual reasons.

In my work as a Feng Shui practitioner, visual artist and Reiki Master I find that colour has a profound effect on our state of well being
As for art and music it can be used to produce profound healing benefits.
The Tibetan Buddhist tradition is very bright and colourful in it's uses of colour which all mean something important for balancing body, mind and spirit
For example green is the colour of envy in it's lower vibration, however rather than seeing this as a negative condition from the Tib. Buddhist point of view, it is celebrated as an opportunity to transform that emotion into discriminating wisdom, which is effected through the spiritual practice of Amoghasiddhi who is one of the 5 Dhyani Buddhas - his colour is green - however these practices are usually prescribed by a Guru proficient in the system and requires initiation into the practice
Also green is the colour used to remove evil forces from the environment so there are examples of this in action embodied in Green Tara who is invoked specifically for this purpose.......there is heaps more to it however hope this helps!!!

It's very interesting that in fact there are Buddhist Mandalas in some of Steven's movies and that he has indicated that he likes them - some are for protection and others are showing the mandala of the Wheel of Life which I am hoping to learn one day from my teacher!!!

Thank you lotuseyes, I was reading that color can effect us very deeply and I am planning on learning more as well. I love the color purple but strangely I do not own much of anything with that color. I think that is odd.

Purple is a very spiritual colour and relates to the crown chakra in the Hindu system - in Tibetan iconography purple is about magic - purple is a great colour I used to wear heaps of it (at one stage even dyed the hair purple - that was a mercifully short phase I might add!!!) but now mainly stick to reds, golds, dark blue and white
Try going to a good esoteric bookshop - there you are likely to find heaps of information about colour and spirituality!!

It's all a matter of balance.......too much of it (purple that is) can make people a bit airheaded thus it is wise to wear colours that keeps one's feet on the ground.....unless ofcourse one wants the equivalent of a free ride in an air balloon without having to fork out the cash nor to discover at the last minute a severe case of aggrophobia!!!

is it my purpleness that makes me so fluid
or is it my blueness that keeps me steadfast to the ground
it is hard to decide on where I would like to be
considering there is so much to offer from both existences
so in the matter of commenting and not I choose to do so

Say What? Say it is fluid and ask yourself how it solidifies? Oh, my! Then say what can I do to main the solid form to remain? Oh and then you can be purple. So in the end you can choose what form you would like to hold.
