Sleeping Fox - he may be a sh*tty actor, but hell - Seagal doesn't exactly shine in the acting stakes either and he speaks fluent English. I disagree with you that half of his movies suck. Of the three you mentioned, I agree that Cyborg sucks and Street Fighter is just beyond bad, but Lionheart (aka AWOL) is an excellent martial arts movie and one of the best of Van Damme's early repertoire. So, yeah - he has done some bad movies, but he has also done some really good movies also, and his status as an action star cannot be overlooked. Here are my ratings out of 10 for his movies:

fair enough glimmer....i must admit i was not over keen on ofak when first saw it but now i have seen it 3 times its grown on me a bit but i think it will gather dust on my self now as there are some seagal films i have not seen for abot 2 years now(out for justice and nico) that i am gonna try and watch in the next couple of weeks...i have also got bad boys 2 and phone booth to watch on dvd this week

I see you rate Van Damme's films pretty much as highly as I would GlimmerMan. "Bloodsport" and "Kickboxer" are awesome, certainly classics of their kind and "Lionheart" is better again, with a decent storyline and supporting cast to go along with the martials arts. Even Van Damme's staunchest critics rate that one quite highly.

Another one on that list that I think comes in for some unfair flak is "Double Team". Again I really enjoyed it and thought Van Damme and Dennis Rodman worked well together. The fight with the little bald head chinese man in the hotel was a scream, choreographed very well too. I was slightly dissapointed with the end denoument in the Rome Collisium with Mickey Rourke - I thought the fight would have been better, but apart from that it was really entertaining.

Well atleast Seagal is Genuine and hasn't considered Big Brother 4

lol okay, Knock Off was okay, ROb Schnider and the afroamerican actress made the film.
And *sigh* I used to like the one where he played twins, and Time Cop.
And No Where to run has good motorized chase scenes.
And I vaguley Remember Kick Boxer, or was it King of the Kick Boxers where he wanted Revenge for his paralized brother against a big ass thai dude.
and than the one where he faught in the cage.
But I dunno, I've moved on from brainless movies. I guess thats why I don't like a few seagal flicks.

I can't believe you rated this movie 8/10, man. Van Damme gets a ******* foot massage from a man in this movie! Legionnaire was just plain bad and Streetfighter... you gave Streetfighter 9/10... Glimmer-Yeah,I gave Street Fighter 9/10,that's my honest opinion.I think the world would be very boring if we all felt the same,and I think you've got as bad taste as you think I have.The plot was enthralling and there was a good performance from Van Damme.Double Impact was just a VD ego trip all the way,which soon made it very boring.
