Does anyone use His Ways in daily life.

Myself -I follow my own path - I believe we all will get to the same place ,maybe not at the same time but we will all get there.

Hello Halkush,

Excellent post right on the money exactly what we should hear.

I think He can do Med and Pray as He is in a situation. That would be the next level.

I hope this is not getting to heavy for the weak of heart.

I think you have to be yourself even when you want to intimitate steven. it is not bad to do that but you have to know that nobody is that odd as he is because everyone has a different personalitiy, surely you can follow your path like him but do you think you have enough fun in you live or is your life to serious if you are following his path?

Hold on Dutch Boy Bob- First welcome and enjoy the site. Lots of great info and people here.
Second the use of ODD offends me. Please explain ODD to all of us so we can get past this comment. If I ever thought of Him as ODD I would not be here.
Third I don't take His path as a serious one but one that is smooth and uplifting.
I have a hard time with a ODD Serious Guy as Him who we all love very much

I think it is just a problem with the translatation Chef. I interpreted 'odd' as unique, my thesaurus says 'out of the ordinary' which I would agree with as he is so special.

Thanks Sue there is a translation as you say ODD is OK. but I thought I might have detected a tone also that would change ODD to you know ODD.

Either way ODD does not decribe Him for me so we should just move on and use His Ways to do it.

I really thank you for your quick post to this matter.

Hi Butterfly what a nice name. I also follow my own path but I am helped by His Ways in all I do each day.

Could perhaps, you be helped by some small thing you have seen of His Ways that you can tell us about.

I hope your path never takes you to a place that you will need His Ways but if you happen upon that place just think of Him and His Ways will be there for you.

May your path be smooth

In terms of actually physically using aikido (or other self defense), I've only had to do that once. (Well, twice, but the first time I didn't know martial arts & is the reason why I got involved in it.)
Anyway, aikido works! The person who was attacking me was bigger and stronger, but somehow he fell down the stairs. He was pretty surprised! And he left me alone after that.
In terms of meditation and prayer in action, I think that ultimately that would be the point of martial arts. It is about staying focussed and in the present. I also found that after a few years, it becomes intuitive, and you just "know" without thinking, what you need to do.
I am trying to be that and do that... doesn't always happen, that's for sure!

I am going back to aikido now, inspired in part by people on this site. Aikido and Steven Seagal's ways can bebefit us all in many situations, not just ones of physical threat.

Hey Tigerfeet, You're in for a treat believe me. Steven seems to get better and better. Everything about PISTOL WHIPPED is brilliant. The story line is fantastic, the theme music, and most of all, our hero as always, was on top form. I hope you enjoy it when you do get it, I think you will.

Hey everyone. Well I know this is off the current topic, but I notice something curious in a scene from PISTOL WHIPPED, and wondered what it meant. When Matt drove up at the church where the Father was murdered, as he stepped over the yellow tape this voice said "stuntman" quite clearly. Then I decided to look up Steven's stunt, or was it his photo double, I should have double checked. Anyway the name is Georgi Zarkov, an AIKIDO 1V Dan. He visits the Middle East a lot, and from an angle he does bear a resemblance to Steven. Tall, same shape face, long hair etc. I Googled him but couldn't find out anything more. Thing is, if he was in that scene, boy he's got Steven's walk down to a T, if you know what I mean. All very interesting eh!!

SeagalAddict

Yes, very interesting How you use His Ways thank you for a great post about His Ways.

Hey Sue, You remember that time when I asked you if you watched PW on line and you said you're waiting until you got the DVD instead? well I heard that guy's voice then. But I thought they would have edited it since it was so audible and from the crowd, you know. I tend to have my sound up high, maybe that's why I heard it. But anyway, have your sound up when Matt drives up to the church where the two bodies are inside, and when Matt steps over the yellow tape and showed the cop his ID, that's when the guy says "stuntman", I promise you. It hasn't spoilt the movie for me or anything, but I just wondered why they left it in. This is typical me though, always wanting explanations for stuff!!

I just watched the scene in question about 20 times, pete and repeat are good friends now.

Steven steps over the tape and there is a lot of background chatter going on, it fades in and out. The cop approaches him and asks, "You got any ID?" Steven whips out ID and moves along - in the background the chatter becomes nearly audible again and the voice is saying "...stumped them". Then the background fades and he is inside the church. I think if you are expecting to hear the words "stuntman" you will hear them, though to my ear I clearly hear "stumped them" You need to crank up the volume to hear this clearly.

Well I'm not sure what the guy said now, not that important anyway. Just seems a curious thing, when the Director always asks for quiet before each take you know!! Anyway I think I've gone on about this long enough.

Yeah! Now that is using His Ways. At all times he will stump them without question. No one here should be posting any doubts that when He uses His Ways He will stump them.

Don't feel bad about posting too much as you indicated Segal Addic. you are fine and you should let your posting flow because I'm sure it is because you are using His Ways.

Thank you all for the great posts about how He is and His Ways. In your life and in the movies and in your mind.

Cheers

Chef, consider yourself in receipt of an enormous hug from this person. I felt so good after I read it, thank you for that. I believe there's something in what you say about His Ways. I called him an enchanter, and I truly believe that there's a lot more to this very special man than even we as his devoted fans can ever imagine. Anyone with a soul would love this man. I mean you just can't help it. And I'll bet you understand what I'm trying to say. Because like you said. I only have to think about him and I get an overwhelming feeling of well-being!!
Stay cool.

Seagal Addict & Chef (and everyone else too :) )

I seem to remember seeing an interview with Steve somewhere, might have been on YouTube, where he said something along the lines of, there are people who will recognize him as a teacher, and for those people who understand him in that role, when they see him in films, or think about him as you two do & you do get that sense of peace.
There are a quite a few of us on this site who are like that I think - who see him as a spiritual teacher and as a role model. He is so much more than just the sum of his projects, or even than the sum of his talents.
As long as there are souls like you guys on this site, I will keep coming back!!
:)
You guys are great!
