Does anyone use His Ways in daily life.

Winning without confrontation is kind of the point though, isn't it?
Or at least, making peace without confrontation. Defusing any situation begins with defusing your own anger.

Yes you are right. I can't explain what I mean. It is just me. I don't like to do things to get even. Even if the other person is wrong. When I am winning by being stronger because of His Ways I am always thoughtful not to abuse the power.

Like Superman when he spun the Earth in reverse to go back in time to save Lois Lane. His father was speaking to Him from the beyond to not abuse His Power.

Thanks for your post.

Cheers,

Jim

Chef you are such a charmer, I do love your style kiddo. About Halkush, I agree with you, she does appear to be dedicated to the principles of His Ways
and has shared her deep beliefs with us. I, for one am grateful to her for that. I now find that I'm using "Cancel, cancel, back to you" as a kind of mantra whenever I am confronted with any disturbing situation. And you know something Chef, it calms me thoroughly. Don't you ever feel bad about any of it because as Tigerfeet posted, this is a valid method. I enjoy making your day kiddo, and will endeavour to do so always. Thanks my friend.

Hi SA,

One real big thank you! yeah, a true day maker. ;) Being a charmer is just a everyday way of life for me.. What you hear is also a big part of His Ways. I use His Ways. If you like/love Him you will like/? me also. It is just natural. On the project we have not heard to many love interest items. You should post that in the His Ways thread in the Off Topic area. If you want to.

This has been an extra special post for me. I seldom speak from the heart---~thanks.

Chef, you are such a sweetie, who wouldn't like/love you! All of Steven's real fans are nice folks. You can tell by the way we interact via our posts. A Seagal fan is a special person, don't you agree? You know I think "His Ways" do help one to aspire to be as good as we can be. Our hero is something, isn't he though? Love that man to bits!! You're ok too Chef kiddo.
All the best.

Hi folks, Just returned from Shanghai back to Hong Kong.
Seems global warming has really affected Asia, we have had a record number of typhoons, been through 2 in Shanghai and arrived back in hong kong via Dragonair bumping along a very rough ride.God was very busy as i prayed for safety and protection the whole way.
I spent a lot of time reading Christopher Hansard's book on Tibetan Buddhist medicine.
some of the ways are so simplistic that any ordinary layman can understand the simple teachings towards health and healing physically and spiritually.
as i grow older and look back on my patterns in life i see that i am a seeker, i seem to be meandering through all the great mainline religions, take what I want and leave the man made dogmas, to apply the principles to our lives, to understand what makes us tick, the journey is to live more effectively and that means constantly to spiritually dedicate our lives to a better place.
Nowhere have i found it harder than dealing with family relationships, it's at home that we are tested. close relationships can send me into chaotic tumultuous emotions . the only way I can work through them into peace and serenity is through prayer and by communicating with a close friend or close friendships outside the family.
the hardest part is to pray, hand over your problems to god and say to yourself you have let go , let god, then take it all back 20 minutes later.
I sometimes dedicate doing the washing up, washing a tea cup to God and that brings me back into living in the moment.Mental discipline and self control it's all part of living in His ways. Noone ever said it is easy.
Love and peace,
Halkush

Here we go again, another question fromme. I just watched OUT FOR A KILL, and there's this bit of music when the tattooist went up the stairs with the the lady cop that I've always liked. really cool with a wicked baseline. I've tried reading the credits before to see if I could find out who the band were, never did. But today, well, I did it. You folks might like it too. The band is CELLDWELLER and the music is "Welcome to the End". Very atmospheric. Steven's movie always have cool music in them, but I tried to find a site with all the themes from his films, I'm sure there's one, but no luck so far. So if anyone knows of such a site please let me know. Thanks.

Hi, Thanks for checking out that tune for me. One thing though, the song I'm talking about is definitely called WELCOME TO THE END. The video has whales swimming around and making those fantastic sounds that they do. You Tube and see. It's really cool, I haven't stoppped playing it since I found it. Then get back to me and tell me if you agree.

Hi H,

Thanks for bringing this thread back to reality.;) wow~
We were discussing in this thread the use of His Ways. Members and others will have to look back quite a few posts to get to the subject of this thread. It is to bad when folks jump on a thread and start posting about many things that have nothing to do with the thread.

I will now use His Ways to forget this and live in the now. Perhaps some members need to be instructed in the ways of the site. That will be a job for Admin. For now I hope we can continue with the excellent posting of His Ways. The best example is for us to follow Halkush the one who knows.

Cheers,

there are so many challenges and obstacles in walking the walk, perhaps the most difficult is to stay committed.
when a friend or close family member is suffering or going through stuff and i start praying for them in my daily meditations, then months go by and i havent seen external positive progress i am reminded that faith is not magic, it is the patience to stay with the prayer and keep walking the walk with compassion, patience and keep praying. it takes as long as it takes.
lots of love and peafce,

Refined Body

When I studied Aikido in Virginia, after moving there from Japan, I was very intriqued not only with the concept of Ki (Spirit), also know as Prana, Chi, etc. but in the application of Ki not only in self defense, but also in daily life. It is apparent in watching Seagal's demonstrations in path beyond thought, and in the way he carries himself today, that he has a very intimate knowledge as to how to apply Ki in daily life, and how to utilize it in defense. To encapsule the concept of Ki, I have always remembered this: "Mind is refined body, and body is unrefined mind." Mind over matter. That is one of his ways that I attempt to emulate.

Hi H,

You are my strong rock here no one could say otherwise. I pray more after your recent posts. It reminded me of when I prayed continuously daily to receive help from a real bad situation that had no quick ending. I had patience and waited also remembering the lord helps those who help themselves. I did not just lay down and die I rose up and prayed.

Thank you for you Halkush. I sincerely hope many will read and keep your thought alive in this thread so future members will be able to read it. I would think that there is an Admin. watching and would realize the inpact your post would have and would make it a sticky as a model of His Ways.

I really like you alot. You always make my day.

I like that, Tourmaline. it is something to keep in "mind" when practising!

This is a very good thread indeed and i totally agree with you when you say "there are so many challenges and obstacles in walking the walk, perhaps the most difficult is to stay committed"

this apply's to a lot of things i recently gave a short speech to a group of Islamic youths and adults regarding staying committed to life and not expecting things to just turn out right all the time you have to work hard whilst also having daily prayers and generally going day by day being a good person and thinking of others also and not just yourself.

i ended on a a few quotes and stories that i have read over the years to give me inspiration and these days i try to apply it to others anyway.

The morning wind spreads its fresh smell.
We must get up and take that in,
that wind that lets us live.
Breathe before it's gone.

There is more than just the basic meaning what you initially get from this short verse, but it seemed to hit the audience pretty hard I'm not sure if they wanted to get to the food that was being served so they could leave or they were generally thinking who knows.
