My youngest son was born on January 8, but in 1960.
He was always very proud of that he was born on Elvis' birthday.
Elvis died on my birthday, August 16, 1977.
The saddness surrounding his death was and still is, overwhelming.

Then i guess you cant forget either way Mama san...I was at school the day he passed away and my mum didnt know how to tell me because he was my idol...of course i didnt believe her till i saw it on the nightly news...

Hubby being a soldier at the time, was away and I had just put the babies to bed. Remember vividly. sitting on the couch crying my heart out. We lost a golden man that day.
