I have a friend who works for Columbia Pictures, and he said to me that they MIGHT make The Foreigner Special Edition DVD. They would be commentaries, Deleted and Extended Scenes, and a Making of Feature It. He didnt say when if would be coming out, bur orobably by September or October. I also asked him about Out Of Reach trailer, and he said that it would be soon...... still waiting! lol Ill update if anything happens!

Sounds good. Not too sure if i would purchase it though unless the extras were interesting, such as a Seagal commentary. The movie is not the best unfortunately so i would hate to see the deleted scenes if they are worse than some that were left in.

I highly doubt they would make a special edition. It's hard enough to get good sales figures back from a DTV release, let alone make another. Through the history of Dvd's, I dont recall there ever being two versions of a Direct To Video film. Not to sound skeptical, but just stating the facts.

It would be interesting to see such, but very unlikely to happen.

I agree with Res.Dog ... Foreigner wasn't such a huge success that a special edition would be produced to increase the revenue (which in turn they might actually lose money on). I've seen a brief version of 'behind-the-scenes' from Foreigner on some russian network, and it wasn't impressive at all ... nothing that exciting as too much cheap CGI was used where real stunts would be appropriate to increase the viewers' excitement during the scene.

If they do release this film in a special edition, thats not a good sign at all. It is good evidence to show Seagal will do anything to make a quick buck. "The Foreigner" is really a bad movie, I dont care if seagal is in it, its bad. No one can argue this is a good movie, and releasing this "special edition" would mean they would not be a good sign.
