Half Past Dead UK Box Office Results [Not Good]

The opening week's box office results for Half Past Dead in the UK is not good:

Faring even less well was Steven Seagal thriller Half Past Dead which brought in a paltry $73,250 (£45,708) from 73 sites for an average of only $1,003 per location.

What a low result. Looks like Glimmer Man was one of few people in the UK to go and watch the movie.

Craig - That is pretty appalling, but I am not in the slightest bit surprised because the film just wasn't advertised enough. I go to the cinema at least once or twice EVERY week and I haven't seen one trailer for HPD, I only saw one poster advertising the film in the cinema (which is now hanging on my bedroom wall ), the only newspaper advertisment I saw was a tiny one in the Daily Mirror on the day of it's release and basically, the only reason anyone British would know about this film is if they come to this site or the official site. Given that only about 100 people access this site (and even less access the official site because it is still 'down', it is a wonder that it even made that much.

Bad news, but the others will do better...And I happened to enjoy him in it...Sure it's not my favorite, but Glimmer and Casey are right, it was not promoted enough, and he did not do the Leno or other show thing either (as I guess he usually does) because of all that stuff going on it court and what not...Oh well...I will always support him, and I think he's just great...

I was being a smart ass...and he could have made it much better, but there were scenes in it I loved, like the ones with that beautiful black Vixen with chrome rims and lucious leather seats

Everything was there !! good action, good shooting, sometimes good jokes !! Sympatic people like Ja Rule and Kurrupt !! Wonderfful and gorgeous and awesome Steven Seagal !! good thriller !! Everything was there !! What else would they want ?? ???????????????

I saw a review of "Half Past Dead" on Roger Ebert's website, but honestly, I don't recall seeing it advertised *anywhere* as even being released in Canada. I know it's already on DVD for purchase at B&N (top of my list next paycheque).

In fact, I don't recall *any* Seagal movie since "On Deadly Ground" even having trailers on tv, let alone trailers at theatres.

Are the studios trying to keep Seagal films a secret, or something?

It was advertised sometime between October-December sometime. so you don't watch tv than?

Between October and December? I was mostly unemployed during that period, except for two weeks in November, so watching tv was pretty much all I was doing, and I never saw a thing.

I must not watch the right tv shows, I guess.

Hi

Looked through cinema listings the other week, and came across the awaited HPD. Thought great go and see it. Have been tied up all week and couldn't get to the cinema. So yesterday, I paged trough the cinema listings to find it was only on a week by us, and it's not showing anywhere else.

The reviews from local papers have given it a bad press. Looks like I'll have to wait for the DVD.

the new film out for a kill is it out on dvd or going straight to cinema, does anyone know?
