I hate freezing rain more than anything, Hallarian!

Here for three days in a row we hit single digit temps--one morning 1 degree above 0 and the next morning 4 degrees. Then the next day it got up to 45. :D

Tonight there's a snow warning--they're predicting up to 10 inches of snow!
They started earlier today predicting 3-4, then have kept upping it all day.
Which all means we'll probably have a dusting by morning. :D

Still miss winters in Michigan, Hallarian? ;) :D

Hallarian,
Your weather sounds similar to ours...one day it is -5 and the next day it is +30.

weather was harsh. One morning I milked my goats in my barn at -50 degrees and that is painful. My animals were not happy eirther. Had to bring some early kids in the house or they would have frozen but farmers do that fairly often, The winds off of Lake Superior often piled snow so deep our road was filled 7 feet deep. Made driving to work quite an adventure.

However I loved Michigan. The land, the people, the animals and the beautiful trees. Also folks tended to be more liberal than Alaska. But why should Alaskans be liberal. The Republicans give Alaska more pork than any other state. Our Senator Ted Stevens really brings home the money. We built an cloverleaf interchange in the middle of no where for $20 million. They are planning to build a bridge over Turn again arm at unbelievable expense (MUd, High tides, and earth quakes, which make the cloverleaf next to useless.

That doesn't happen here. A-h-h- maybe I should say YET. So much is changing.

Right now we have about 8 inches on the ground. Sure is pretty, although it was a crazy ride home from work this morning! :D It's still coming hard, with about 2-4 more inches expected. And me without the snowblower my brother broke. Hope his back is up to this. :D

Get ready, yudansha--Toronto always gets our weather soon after it leaves here. :D

Omg!!

Yes, well I woke up and thought ok this would be a good time to go out and clear the snow from the driveway. So I exited my garage, and it's not that cold outside, so I start with the snow and then I realize ... this sucker is heavy!! The snow was falling all night long and it compressed to such an extent that it took me over two hours just to clear the driveway. So then I decided that it was enough of a workout for me. I can't move and need a massage. Now, where can I get one for free? :D

It only snows once or twice a winter here in NC, we are a lazy bunch we don't try to dig out, we just stay home til it all melts!

Ohhh, poor baby! ;) Since my brother broke my snowblower and hasn't replaced it, I had to get out and shovel that snow myself when I got home from work. At least I did it a little at a time, though. But, man, talk about sore now! I need a massage too. What do you think--Chatham? :D LOL :D
