Finally I watched !! It was very dramatic and very tragic !! How kind of hate this is ?? Unbelieveble !!
Actors, costumes, places are wonderful. Aramic Language is good idea !!
I liked the actor who played Jesus Christ. His face looks like Jesus at the iconas.Film was slowly but very fluent !! It was a good movie !! Mel Gibson was successfull !!

Gibson wasn't in the film himself - he was director and producer, I believe.

Mel Gibson having his hand in there actually has a lot of symbolism. Every bad thing we've done even something as trivial as a "little white lie" sent Jesus to that tree. He died to "wipe our slates clean," so that we would be able to spend eternity with him. All we have to do is accept what Jesus did and Believe. Mel Gibson knows he's not perfect, he's done bad things, and he helped nail Jesus to that cross. We are not perfect either so we helped kill Jesus too, so to speak. That's why he had his hand nailing Jesus to the Cross.
The paragraph above is from momma bear Julie's teenage cub. She felt compelled to share this with you all like Mel Gibson felt compelled to make the movie. This is something dear to our heart, as making the film was to Mel Gibson.

Unfortunately it won't make me go and read the Bible.Sorry but no offense to the faithful ones.I'm a sceptic to the bones but with strong inclinations to the eastern philosophy.Anyways...Respect.

By the way,didn't you hear the second Messiah has already come?It's Sun Myun Moon,that's what I've been told.:rolleyes:

We were always taught that the bible is the "manual" to live by. Like when you get an owners manual with something you purchased to show you how to use it. The book of revelation talks about the second coming of the messiah Jesus Christ. Our pastor told us last sunday when God mentions something in the bible that there is usually more than one reference to that particular subject. I guess so that if a verse gets taken out of context there is another verse to back up the "intended meaning." I guess that's so things do not get distorted in translation to make it mean what "we" want it to mean. There are so many different religions and not all use the bible, either in part, as a whole or even at all! I believe the bible is the inspired word of God. I saw the Mel Gibsons movie. Comparring it to the bible it seems to be the most accurate. There were a few scenes where I cried. I just kept thinking "Lord you went through all that for me?" I couldn't help but feel so unworthy. I just think back to all the mistakes I have made in my life. God sent his son to die for my sins to be the "bridge" so when I die I can be with him in heaven where there is no sin. All I had to do is accept and believe what he did for me. My daughter forgot the verses John 3:16&17. She asked me to add them. If you do not believe the bible than I don't know what you hold on to for assurance. I am not familiar with what other religions believe in. I know only bits and pieces. I have no authority to judge. That is between God and us as an individual. That is my two cents from the heart. Thank you!:) Julie

No, Tora, my dear. There is no second Messiah.
The second coming of Jesus Christ has not happened yet.
And believe me, when it happens, the whole wide world will
know, all at the same time!!
My heart goes out to those who are not yet ready to receive
Him.

Tora, If you want to read up on the"Sun Myun Moon" and others read, Larson's Book of Cults, by Bob Larson. The book "Youth, Brainwashing, and the Extremist Cults", by Ronald Enroth is also a real eye opener. I did not know who he was until I asked around then was handed those books. Julie:)
