Movie Question-: Did Seagal Direct "Out For Justice" Uncredited?

Although John Flynn is credited as the director of "Out For Justice" (he also directed Stallone prison film "Lock Up") I remember reading somewhere on the web that Seagal directed a good portion of the film uncredited. If he did he would'nt be the first star as Clint Eastwood was rumoured to direct a few scenes in "Dirty Harry" when director Don Siegel fell down with flu. Has anyone else heard these rumours and whether there is any truth in them.

Your read so many things about him that you wonder what is bullsh*t and what is not!

Anyone know?

lol........you're not kiddin'.....I don't know about the directional stuff........I'm sure Seagal did the choreography for the fight sequences(the fight with Dan Inosanto is a classic)........and he's said himself that the "lonely old man" scene he wrote and created on the spot....because they needed a fill in scene with his wife....

I think I heard him say in an interview that he did a whole lot of the work on that film, I don't know if it was via directing or writing, or the fight scenes...But I think his work is not generally done for the fame or recognition really, I think it is usually done to convey a message he has that he wants to share...

He is definately something...I just watched Exit Wounds again...Wow, what a great guy....;) Actor, director, and so much more...:D

I cant remember exactly but i think i remember Seagal in an interview(either on tv or in a magazine) talk about how he re-wrote just about every scene in this movie and should have gotten credited as the writer in the film..
Actually, i think that it was mentioned on the E-true hollywood story a few months back.

it was not out for justice he re-wrote but marked for death because he hated the script so he wrote about 80% of marked for death.....he even wanted to change the name from marked for death to something else.
