My Nico dvd is cut *grrrrrrrrrrrr*

I thought that April fools prank that was comitted against me was cruel but think again!! I just saw about 15 minutes of my Nico dvd only to discover that there was a piece of the barfight missing..then it got me thinking how about the final scene when Nico breakes the dudes arm..& how right I was. This is even worse than world wide warfare.

Disciple

come get some
Yes, I think the Europe/Region 2 dvds are pretty heavily cut. Sorry about that man.

Always best to go for the Region 2 DVDs with Seagal I think...

You must feel like you have just had your arm broken by Seagal!Sorry to hear that:(.Disciple is right, always buy Seagal dvds on USA region 2 to avoid dissapointment. You may have to pay extra for them but it's more than worth it.I know a lot of people have had to learn this the hard way(inc myself). There should be a thread on all Seagal's uncut USA region 2 dvds somewhere on the forum.

Peace,
Leon.

Nico

It sounds like it's come from the UK version which is missing The Master slamming his fist into a guy's face in the bar repeatedly, a girl fooling around with some drugs shortly after and the arm-break at the end.

I think you's all mean buy region 1. These are uncut, not region 2.

Region 1 - US / Canada
Region 2 - Europe.

GO LEAFS GO!!! (Leafs vs. Senators - Leafs in 6)

Craig that's exactly what I was thinking too, but I just did not want to start some argument in case I was wrong about this one.

Good thing I'm a Canadian eh! ... LOL

Region 1

That's true the American releases are as uncut as his films get worldwide, in the UK we've had to put up with the BBFC wrecking his films for years. Under Siege was the worst casualty and had between 30 and 40 cuts for violence and weaponry. Sadly though even the US versions are often not the films as they were meant to be seen, because of the strict MPAA who cut a lot of his films before they could be rated 'R' we're still seeing a watered down version even in the American versions, missing lots of Hugh's torture in On Deadly Ground, Penn having his face fried on an oven in Under Siege 2 and what Seagal is rumoured to have done to the guy in the mine in Fire Down Below before it conveniently cuts away to outside the cave.

On Deadly Ground

The love scenes in On Deadly Ground aren't available on release anywhere in the world. The scenes, which are reputed to make Seagal and Joan Chen get a bit more intimate than they are in the released print, weren't trimmed for censorship reasons, they were just left on the cutting room floor for one reason or another. Love scenes are often trimmed out in the editing (Hard Target has similar trims) of action films are they sometimes slow down the action. That said, I wouldn't have minded seeing the feisty Joan Chen get jiggy.
