I guess it's concluded by now. Waxman had to do a few things on post production. The bootleg trailer we saw was for the studio's as promotional material. The studio decides when they release a trailer and when they release the movie. I DO NOT hope this movie has trouble during post production (voice dubbing and so on)

I have no idea, but the past has proved there are a lot of projects that Steven has announced that are vanished. When I see set pictures with Steven on set I will believe this movie is happening.

First ABSOLUTION should be ready for purchase by us fans, before everything else should start. If "Cypher" is no clever made hoax, than we will talk about it soon again.

The plot sounds good. But... the whole "EX-Special forces" role gets old. I would like to see him playing a fahter wo is a retired construction worker who runs a dojo and gets in trouble with some gang-members in the neighborhood. Or something like that.

That sounds cool. The problem with all these 'international terrorist' and 'CIA' type plots, is that the ideas, outweigh the budgets. Your idea sounds great, as a gritty back to basics flick. This is why 'URBAN JUSTICE' works, and 'SHADOW MAN' feels padded. Seagal fans would eat up another gritty urban movie (and it wouldn't have to cost the earth to make, either)

No news on this and no exciting Seagal news at all for over a month and a half. Boring! It does not look like it will be made. We are probably better off without another Seagal movie. The last many Seagal movies sucked anyway so why bother with another.

Not sure why there's so much negativity around here. There's a noticable upturn in the quality of Seagal's movies of recent (or would you prefer more FLIGHT OF FURY's & ATTACK FORCE's)
Not my place to say who comes or stays....but I do wonder why some people bother visiting these boards?
I mean, it's one thing to critique movies that he's already made....But when people start ragging on stuff he hasn't even made yet.....then the guy is doomed

Some people have high hopes that Seagal one day will make or atleast participate in another theatrical big movie but it dosn't seem like it will ever happen,
Seagal has been doomed the last 5 years

As nice as it would be to see him back on the big screen again....I'll just be happy as long as he makes good DTV movies

Thats the problem he is not making good DTV movies. I would love to see a good DTV movie from Seagal but it will never happen. He has lost his touch.

The problem of the movies since 2011 is the limited screen time of Seagal and a mostly "tired" feeling during the movies. They are better than movies like "Attack Force", but still boring.
The latest news, however, don't sound bad to me, but I guess we have to wait a few weeks for new informations.

I've quite enjoyed his recent output. He's had a pretty good run since URBAN JUSTICE (minus the over-edited KILL SWITCH) both DRIVEN TO KILL and A DANGEROUS MAN are personal favourites of mine. I prefer DRIVEN TO KILL over many of his cinema releases. MAXIMUM CONVICTION was a fine action movie too.

I'd love to see a sequel to MaxCon :)

According to Steven Seagal Italia, Steven is in Mexico. They posted a pic with the following tekst:

In Mexico to first Cypher's shoots...??

Interesting, but it also could be “Code of Honor”, although that one originally was announced to be filmed in Alabama.

Maybe it’s New Mexico and not Mexico?

Unfortunately their PDF is just a photo, so we can’t see if they will sell it there. But maybe they already did that last year on AFM.
