I would not pay much attention to that review has he thinks Hunt To Kill is waxmans best film and better than FOE-TK-MC

Hunt To Kill was IMO his weakest film

Also he says the guy talks to long before trying to shoot Seagal...has he ever seen any action film from the past 30 years..it happens all the time

Again Seagal has manage to make an absolutely boring movie. Wonder why he keep staying in DTV land when he gets offered parts in theatrical movies. Well i guess its becouse he doesnt have to work as hard in DTV land.

Ofcourse, they just dont have it up ;) It will be here, I'm buying it on bluray as I did with Force Of Execution. And I'm also buying Absolution on bluray. Then I'll have all 3 of them on bluray ;)

Anyone heard of a UK blu-Ray release of A GOOD MAN yet?

This is quite common with UK Seagal releases (every now and then, they forgo a Blu-Ray release?) Which is a shame, because I rarely buy DVD's anymore. :(

Nope, think it's gonna be off to Italy or Germany for the BD. Personally, I quite like the German cover, it's just a shame we have to wait an extra month.

Seems the UK and US have given up on Seagal.

Thanks for the link amigo, I'm just wary of buying foreign releases that *may* be cut? Bluray.com are a good site, but they rarely mention censorship issues with discs.
Thanks regardless

Oh I just posted it because it seems to have all the Seagal videos listed in one way or another....the page that shows all the people that were associated with a Seagal video is kind of funny to look at...Shelly Winters->Rosanne->Steven Seagal...lol
http://www.blu-ray.com/Steven-Seagal/66759/#Collaborations

I sometimes will use
http://www.movie-censorship.com/report.php?ID=4201163
http://www.movie-censorship.com/report.php?ID=52871
http://www.movie-censorship.com/report.php?ID=1882298
I think this is the longest difference(approx 2mts)
http://www.movie-censorship.com/report.php?ID=4652979

to see if they have any movie comparisons.....I don't know if there is a site with STV comparisons tho'

speaking of censorship in Seagal movies, all but A DANGEROUS MAN + KILL SWITCH were released in uncut versions. From each other there is also a cut version available (don't ask me why).

Why these two never got an uncut release is beyond my sight. All I know is that when it comes to cut-vs-uncut versions here in Germany, many films do have an uncut print made in Austria. But even there are no uncut editions of A DANGEROUS MAN + KILL SWITCH available.
Secondary, I am glad to inform you that - when it comes to German releases - you can ask always me. I am German.
When I am in the mood to look if a movie is censored or not, I am using this excellent German page: www.schnittberichte.com
A GOOD MAN will be released uncut as most products by the company Splendid.

Sure you have to copy + paste some text into Google Translate, but that shouldn't be matter, right?
Last, but not least - I can't understand you in one instance. If you are collecting BDs, no problem, why are you against DVD?
In my experience DVDs on a BD-player creating an all new experience. The result is sharper and sometimes even clearer picture. Sometimes BDs are so sharp, that they destroying some cinematic illusions - see the original RoboCop with Peter Weller.

Nothing against DVD's.....But now I've moved onto Blu-rays, it would be nice to carry on that way (or at very least having the choice of buying new releases on this format...Don't you think?)

Speaking of German censorship....I have the German DVD release of OUT FOR JUSTICE (aka DEADLY REVENGE) and nearly all the violence is edited out....It's jaw-droppingly bad! :)

Yeah.........what's the point of the 'classic' Seagal movies if all the violence is cut out....
just like they did with the 'LEGO' version of Expendables 3....that was one of the reasons most people liked them in the 1st place.....some good ole' bone crushing, nut cracking, arm breaking, leg snapping.....no Seagal film should be without it :)

Well, I can't agree. I have BluRays, but I am an avid DVD collector. It is your decision. But only a quick, theoretical question. What if in the next year Japanese and Korean companies present the successor of the BD. Will you trash your BD collection then? I will keep my DVDs.

I have the uncut edition and I must confess it is quite rare, but it is possible to obtain it. The problem is that the place, where you can purchase them ships only in Germany. As I said, every Seagal movie here in Germany is also published in a cut edition + an uncut edition. Only A DANGEROUS MAN + KILL SWITCH will never see an uncut release.

I've still got thousands of DVD's (which in turn, replaced many VHS tapes and Laserdiscs) But I still have loads of VHS and LD's also.

To be honest, Blu-ray will probably be the last format for me (as much as I like collecting) I've been collecting movies for nearly 30 years (on ALL formats) There comes a time when, there's little much more technology can do with movies. DVD was a GIANT leap from VHS, but BLU-RAY was only a minor jump from DVD.

I've had movie 2 shops, and now currently run a market stall that sells (primarily) DVD's (in fact, I better get to bed....got to set the stall up in around 6 hours)

Lee Nicholson: Every German knows the German DVD of "Out for Justice" is cut, so why did you bought it?
Your fault....
English is your first language, right?
Why didn´t you buy the US-DVD or the US-blu-ray?

If i'm not mistaken Lee is from the UK. So not beeing a German, he didn't know it was cut.

And US-dvd or blu-ray are a different region, so if you don't have a region free player it's no use buying them. UK and Germany are the same region.

And usually the cutting in the UK in movies is worse then in Germany.

I bought the movie *BECAUSE* it was cut (and ridiculously so) Did you think I'd sourced my first and only copy of OFJ from Germany alone?
I've got around 5-6 DVD variants of OFJ from various regions
(Duh?)
I'm not entirely sure why you feel the need to comment on (what was essentially) a question about a UK Blu-ray release?
(Duh Part II?)

(Quote) "Every German knows the German DVD of Out for Justice is cut"
Has there been a national poll?.....some sort of geographical factoid, is it?
:)

Aren't you the crank who was arguing before about this very movie (A GOOD MAN) stating that you weren't going to watch it, and had no interest in Seagal since 2001?
Once again, I'm baffled as to why you're here?
Most (if not all) of your posts involve you jumping into threads for movies that you openly refuse to watch, constantly trying to argue with people, without a clue what is being said?

I state I've got the German release of OFJ (and mention that it's terribly cut) and the first thing you can do is immediately jump to the conclusion that it was bought by accident, and somehow it becomes a matter of fault/blame and such a terrible mistake on my behalf?

This is the problem with 99% of your posts. You constantly arm yourself with anything *BUT* the facts at hand, and jump into threads that (by your own admission) don't concern you, in an arrogant argumentative manner. You come across as very weird?

Is there any way I can block posts by seagal1969?
