Just wanted to say I miss being here and that I fully intend to spend more time here from now on.
My hubby finally passed on. He had a challenging summer and was in much pain, so it was really a blessing he no longer has to live in a worn-out body. The family was with him, giving him blessings and showering him with our love. He simply floated out of his body, very peacefully.
With the exception of autumn yard clean-up, etc., taking care of 50+ birds, a full-time job, and a house-full of grandchildren (occasionally!), I hope to be here on the board a lot more.
Wishing all of you a beautiful autumn, where-ever you call home.

I'm so sorry to hear about your husband, Kickingbird. It's wonderful that you have accepted his passing as a blessing. After all he's been through, how fortunate he was at the end to leave surrounded by family and loved ones and finally pain-free. Now he's finally at peace and it's time for you to concentrate on you. With so much attention focused on the patient, very often it's easy to forget how very difficult it is for the caretaker. It will help so much to have your family (especially the grandchildren!) around you to love and support each other. My prayers are with you and your family, Kickingbird. - Serena.

I know this must be so difficult, but please just know that we are thinking of you with sympathy...I was very sorry to hear about your husbands illness, but his pain is all gone now, and he can finally rest...I hope that you can adjust to your loss a little bit better knowing that your husband is truly at peace, and that he was surrounded by love when he most needed to be...
